Wodin
I couldn't get the cmd bit to work..so I just used 7zip on the atiglxx.dl file and I extracted the atioglxx.dll file into a folder and just put that in there..not sure if it works or not.

Wodin
Just kept saying it couldn't open the ati file. I think it's working anyway..I have the correct dll in the folder anyway. Shadows seem to be better.
Aragorn2002
Just kept saying it couldn't open the ati file. I think it's working anyway..I have the correct dll in the folder anyway. Shadows seem to be better. Neither can I. I also placed the correct dll in the folder, just in case. Doesn't seem to make the slightest difference in loading times etc. though. I'm also using Windows 7 64 bits. Edited April 11, 2015 by Aragorn2002
montanaza
Anyone had any success with this trick? I'm hoping someone comes back with a resounding YES! R9 280x here.

stikkypixie
Changing the dll files around is just a quick and not always robust way of updating drivers. You still need to find a version that actually improves performance
