L0ckAndL0ad
Well, yeah, obviously, pushing the wall is far better option than trying to drive over it. For tanks it would be easier to just fire at the wall. Or just having a MOUT/engineering kit attached to front of it. Or just elevate the gun:
Apocal
Yeah, there's a million and one things you can do in Real Life that would be next to impossible to reasonably code for in a game like CM. How would you tell the game that you "just want to nudge the wall over"? Um, by setting a waypoint on the wall, then a reverse waypoint to back the vehicle off... You can already do this with short walls in-game, I'm just asking it be expanded to taller ones. womble
Um, by setting a waypoint on the wall, then a reverse waypoint to back the vehicle off... You can already do this with short walls in-game, I'm just asking it be expanded to taller ones. You can also just plot a move point straight past the breach you've created, with low walls. Which you shouldn't be expecting to do with high walls, until you've inspected what you find on the other side of the wall for traversibility. So in effect, since you, the player, already know what terrain is past the wall, nobody would ever "just nudge the wall over", back off, take a look and then drive through. So "nudging a high wall over" would have to be a special thing that stops the vehicle from proceeding for at least a few seconds once the dust settles.
