There are many good resources to making your own maps and scenarios and campaigns. The game manual, youtube videos by Proambulator, and others, JonS's pdf that comes with the game. George MC has a pdf. Others have pdf's. There are tons of forum threads that give tips and methods.

Maybe you have dabbled around but still want to learn the ropes? It can be a lot of work but if you want to join a team to do a small part of a campaign. PM me. You can eventually make your own map/scenario/campaign from your very own ideas from what you might learn as part of the Campaign Factory. I am only offering this to get some more scenarios released into the community. I hope also to improve and learn from seeing the ideas and techniques of others. It can be a win-win.

I have CMFI, CMBN and CMRT. Right now I am working on the CMFI GL Ortona Campaign. I have a few guys helping out but do have room for a few more.

Some good links to paste here for convenience

A. Maybe take those old ASL 2D maps and turn them into your first CM map/scenario? Not a bad way to learn from an already written scenario, "off the shelf".

B. JonS did this great tutorial on making "see-nar-ee-ohs" and a bronze statue should be commissioned in his honor...the pigeons say so!

C. Official briefing graphics templates are out there and here is a thread which explains a bit about that...

D. Want to make your own QB maps to play and maybe upload?

and

and how to name them...

This is a delightful way to tempt people! You make it all sound so fun!

I am new to CMBN, and only used the editor to preview maps before I select them for Quick Battles. I used to make small and large maps for Steel Panthers, as well as SPMBT and SPWW2, centuries ago.

I'd be willing to give it a try, as long as you don't hinge anything on me getting anywhere.

Thank you Ithikial! I will be sure to credit you in the designer's notes for your kind generosity of providing the fruits of your previous labours. See? I spelled labor as labour to get into the CW mode!

Well, gotta go. I have a very tight shed-dule today! :D

The Campaign Factory seems to be picking up a bit of steam.

Not so much different than my experience in the past, there are many great guys here on the forum that will help you out with various projects.

Maybe this concept just formalizes it somewhat and focuses the energy toward a specific campaign to publish.

In the history of manufacturing there have obviously been folks who have made changes to increase production and streamline the process.

So, I tip my hat to Rokko over on CMRT forum who likewise has introduced some subtle new ideas to greatly improve my campaign creation process.

I always have a dropbox folder to share among the campaign factory staff for a particular campaign project. "Sapper Campaign" for example.

Rokko thought to create text files in the shared folder for each scenario and for the OOB and for the campaign battle list.

Each staff member can now make comments and save the text file in place to retain and centralize the info.

Before I had many e-mails, forum conversations and threads here and there.

His way is much better. Thanks Rokko!

I think one of the road blocks for people creating a campaign is they look at the effort to create a scenario and multiply that by X and get scared off. What you are doing by providing coordination is perfect. I wish I had time to pitch in too. Perhaps one day...

You are right. I joke to myself about being lost in the dark forest of unfinished scenarios. I have a few projects that I haven't finished.

I often bite off more than I could chew. I think we all have that tendency sometimes. I have to consciously restrain myself against "scenario bloat".

PM me anytime Ian! There are many campaigns to be made. Perhaps you have an idea and from that seed can grow a mighty oak of a campaign.

I am working with a fireball of energy named kevin and the campaign factory is assisting him in the making of a Tunisia Campaign. It follows a rifle company of the US Army 1st Infantry Division over several days of battle in the winter of 42/43 in North Africa....

other news: Ortona Campaign is proceeding along nicely for a March release.

After that I will shift my main focus to the CMRT Sapper Campaign.

Simmering on the back burner is the Malta Campaign.

I have played a PBEM on a test Malta map and it looks very nice.

Again, anyone that wants to come and work a shift so to speak is more than welcome. PM me.
