Nelson 1812
A Bren carrier... holding the ground. After already knocking out a Anti tank team... and preserving a cromwell.
womble
That clip illustrates something the Bren carrier has that differentiates it, at least in the game, from the other armoured troop transports: courage. I wouldn't expect an M3/M4 or a Hanomag to hang around in that environment; they'd be hightailing it in reverse when the first infantry team shouted "Boo!", let alone started lobbing grenades at 'em. Passengers seem (from a pretty small sample, admittedly) to be more inclined to join the fray, too, from the little tracked beauties.
Lt Belenko
They can be used for the gamey maneuver known as "Recon by Death" .
Warts 'n' all
I have to admit that when I played CMBO I didn't handle them very well. But that was me being stupid. They are certainly very versatile. And, of course, in real life, the fact that they were based on an early 30's Tankette meant that they were as cheap as chips to produce as the factories didn't need retooling.
