Why concern oneself with anything from Russian state-run... "media"?

Russian Broadcasters Warned the World of ;) Russia Turning US Into 'Radioactive Dust' ... March 2014.

Sorry, if my comment is upsetting to anyone. Battlefront is way ahead of Russia's state-run... "media" in many respects.

Very Long, hard work day.

Time for a shower and a beer or 2 ... with a little CMX2 to soothe my "Infidel" soul...s ;)

Edward Lucas, Senior Editor Economist magazine.

NATO playing Chess. Putin playing Poker.... and Vlad tore up the rule book on EU Security since end of Cold War... since 1975 Helsinki Accord ... "a game changer"

1: Vlad wants to determine the geopolitical futre of Russia's neighbors.

2: Stop EU bringing order to EU energy market.

3: Bust the idea of "The West" as a Security Guarantee for EU.

Subversion, harassment and intimidation of Baltic states is part of Vlad's MO.

This will work unless and until NATO / US makes it crystal clear "Hands Off!"

You mess with the Baltic = You mess with the USA.

NATO has to put troops and equipment IN Baltic so Vlad gets it.

and... Go after Billions of corrupt money stolen from Russian and laundered in UK, EU and USA.

Vlad is waving the Mother Russia flag "popular" but plenty of unrest about how dysfunctional / corrupt Russian Government has been last 15 years.... so that is a leverage point as well...

I don't think Russian media controlled by state will agree ;)

So when is CMBS due?

October 2014?

"Go after Billions of corrupt money stolen from Russian and laundered in UK, EU and USA."

Unfortunately, that money is bolstering their weak economies. UK/"The City" is staying afloat cos it's built a reputation as a haven for illegal money. (Source: John Le Carre.)

Everyone is hopelessly compromised by corruption these days.

Here's one for the "things aren't weird enough already in Ukraine" file. Take a gander at what, unless it's some Russian propaganda op against Ukraine, gives disturbing substance to what I thought was Russian nonsense. Ukrainian Nazis?! After looking at this, you may wish to rethink the matter.

Its heartbreaking to see this kind of thing still around. Hitler may have been right after all, the third Reich could well see its thousandth year in some shape or form. I wonder what these guys grandparents would think of them traipsing around wearing SS emblems. I know my grandfather sure as hell wouldn't be pleased to see it.

Azov Battalion is absolutely plastered with the stuff.

Schmoly War,

I strenuously diasagree with your argument. Symbols, properly understood, ARE a declaration of intent. This is precisely why Himmler himself got involved in the explicit use of runes in the SS, even going so far as to send officers to classes on runic symbolism!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armanen_runes

The principal symbol used in the divisional emblem for 2 SS PD and 4 SS PGD is called wolfsangel; it has meanings going back centuries and is a major component of German heraldry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfsangel

And the above ALL occur in the context of the Nazi flag which was designed by Hitler himself and for clearly defined reasons set forth in Mein Kampf.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Party#Party_symbols

"In German nationalist circles, the swastika was considered a symbol of an "Aryan race"; it symbolized the replacement of the Christian Cross with allegiance to a National Socialist State.

This illustrates the real significance of colors in national flags. The meanings also have a societal context, meaning they're not universal in meaning.

http://www.factmonster.com/ipka/A0769383.html

Nor is such symbolism confined to politico-military circles. Corporations spend millions of dollars to present themselves to the world in a specific way. Symbols express intent, alignment, act as lures, encourage the oppressed, oppress and more. When Roman eagles appeared in your neighborhood, and your people wen't already part of Rome, it wasn't going to be a good day. The Ichthus was the secret symbol of oppressed Christians. The Fascist's fasces was a direct invocation of the power of ancient Rome; of Mussolini's and his party's connection to it. The Roman censor had the fasces carried before him by lictors. The fasces was an ax around which rods were tied. The symbolism of that? The rods represented the censor's power to chastise, while the ax showed his power to execute on behalf of the State. During the Great Depression, the hobos had a set of symbols which told their fellows who would help and whom to avoid.

Here is an online book, of which looking at a single page will start to reveal the meaning of symbols all around you which you probably never noticed.

From an occult perspective, and that's exactly where Hitler and his inner circle were coming from, symbols had power. Consider the notorious Blutfahne/Blood flag of the Beerhall Putsch martyrs for the National Socialist cause. It was covered with the blood of those shot by Munish police. If you go back to the daylight Nuremberg rally footage, you'll see an seemingly endless procession of flags being taken up to Hitler, who briefly touches the Blutfahne to each as it comes by. This is an occult ritual by which the essence and power of the original flag is copied over into the flag which touches it. The US flag and associated iconography are programmed into Americans as tiny children and acquire real power, power sufficient to influence the minds of voters, which is why campaign posters are rich in such imagery. Elsewhere, the flag might be seen in an altogether different light. And is. Consider, too, the image of the three-level papal tiara. It is a potent symbol representing the Pope's dominion over Earth, Heaven (everything above Earth) and Hell (everything below Earth). Anything not covered?! Even more potent, of course, is the cross. I could run this exercise all week, but I believe I've made my point. Symbols are, in many ways, because they operate on both our conscious and our subconscious, of much greater impact than mere words, whether written or spoken.

Question: Will we see "master maps" of named areas of interest the likes of which are seen in the CM:BN Market Garden Expansion?

Other than maybe one map, not this time. Master maps lent themselves well to settings such as Market Garden, where many battles where fought over a period of time in a very small area. That doesn't really apply well to this setting.

Though somewhat dated, this article is still useful, including some great pics for the modders. Somebody painted what I believe to be a BMD in DigiCam™! Annoyances include a BMP-2 labeled as a tank and, much worse, a great pic of the huge Tu-160 BLACKJACK strategic bomber where a Tu-22M BACKFIRE pic belongs.

Seeing as this takes place in 2017 are we going to be seeing modern equipment? Or "future" equipment? I am hoping this doesnt turn out like ArmA III with all the weird looking near future equipment

The idea is to include equipment that will be in use by the forces involved in 2017. That is only 3 years from now so as a practical matter the vast majority of equipment seen in Black Sea is already in service. And I would not expect to see any highly speculative weapon systems for which little information is publicly available. In fact, I know of one weapon system that is planned to be in service by 2017 that won't be in the initial release because so little is known about it.
