John Kettler
Since one of the SPAM links also talks about it, I thought I'd observe that the apparently once affordable even during the Depression SOS (ate quite a bit as a kid) now practically amounts to a mortgage payment. Unbelievably expensive. I think Mom put English peas in ours. Regards, John Kettler
John Kettler
kohlenkau, The linked image in your OP is encrypted by tininess. Is there a way you can make it big enough for mere mortals to read? Granted, it's bigger than a microdot... kohlenklau
@John Kettler: It was a decent size when I first posted it but has changed since then. I don't think I can do anything at this point. Later I decided to just rehost my future thread photos on photobucket to avoid any such issues.

Michael Emrys
Did not Russian soldiers hold Spam in somewhat high regard for rations? Well to be fair, it does beat five day old dead rat all to hell. Michael
db_zero
As someone who spent a good part of my life growing up in Hawaii I can tell you Spam is considered comfort food to many. You haven't lived until you tried Spam musubi. Me personally I like a few slices of spam fried, served with some steamed rice with 2 sunny side eggs on top and some kikoman poured on top. My favorite is Mac and Cheese with spam cut in cubes mixed in and some Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning sprinkled in it. Now that people is the ****! Spam is one of the greatest American creations. Gawd I love that stuff.
Thewood1
My teenagers love thinly sliced fired spam and fried rice for breakfast. I make 1-2 times a month. They can't get enough.
