Tactical Wargamer
Ok just playing with getting CMSF up and running. Need a ticket. What do I use as a user name? No problem re-setting for a password but no idea on getting a user name. Cheers Merry Christmas!
Schrullenhaft
No need for an 'username', just click on the 'Submit a Ticket' link and fill out the forms. The contact is via email (and you can check the site in case there are email problems). The 'error -18' isn't really documented with the the information we have. More than likely you will need to have your license key 'reset' to allow for another activation. You will need to provide your license key for the Marines module (which seems to be the one generating your 'error -18'). You may want to familiarize yourself with the 'unlicensing' process. This preserves your activation and should be done BEFORE you make any significant changes to your computer (new/changed hardware, reinstalling Windows, etc.). If you make significant changes to your computer without unlicensing first, then you can run into error codes and 'lose' your activation (each license key comes with two initially). When this happens a 'reset' is necessary to restore an activation.

Schrullenhaft
You're thinking of CMBN and the newer 'Online Activation System'. CMSF uses eLicense which comes with two activations and the ability to UNLICENSE and activation (which preserves it). You will want to unlicense a game and all of its modules BEFORE making changes. If you don't unlicense a game before making changes you typically 'lose' that activation and have to use the second one (i.e. - there is only one activation to manage now). With the 'Online Activation System' that CMBN and newer games use, there is NO unlicense feature. You activate a game on a computer and if significant changes occur, then that activation becomes invalid and often produces an error that may require an utility to delete and allow you to reactivate ('gsClean'). This is why the Online Activation System initially comes with 4 activations. There used to be a web-based tool to add an activation once a year, but that had to be taken down since the updated version of that copy-protection system would not work with the web-interface. With eLicense games that produce an error that prevents licensing (or you've accidentally 'used up' your two activations), then a 'reset' can be performed that allows for another activation (which can be managed with 'unlicensing').
