dungeontiger
In an epic battle of British vs Germans I have fought against a single Panther that just won't die. Watch the videos below. Basically I pummelled it with a Churchill for a few turns and took out its gun and immobilized it. Then I wailed on it with both an Achilles and a Churchill and it still won't die. These things are scary!!! Nuts.
agusto
Didnt the crew bail out? BTW reminds me of reports of M1 tanks in Iraq taking dozens of RPG-7 hits without beeing impressed at all. The insuregnts in Syra are having more luck with the old Soviet tanks in Syria.
A Canadian Cat
Didnt the crew bail out? Not yet. I considered bailing them manually but figured they might survive longer *in* the tank considering what the Churchill and Achilles did to my infantry the previous turn.
Wingman47
I think it also displays what I consider to be some AI issues with Armour. The Churchill, sitting a few feet away from what it percieves to be an operational Panther, continues to scan the area for other targets before coming back to the Panther. I have seen this pattern on both sides of the board and the tank logic seems to be lacking in its priorioty of target selection.
Vergeltungswaffe
It's amazing what people that are looking out a slit or a periscope, probably dirty and through smoke, don't see during the stress of combat. I think it simulates reality pretty well.
Collingwood
So would the crew need to swing the turret wildly about to see better ? I wonder how keen they would be to rotate the turret away from the tank straight in front, until they know it's knocked out?

Well actually there are infantry teams around (and really close) even a Shrek team made a short appearance.
Erwin
The irony is that buttoned tanks seem to have no problem spotting (and shooting) infantry in the dark and with smoke. I hope that capability can be turned down a bit in a future patch.
