Wicky
On second thoughts looking at the method of decryption the supposed cracking of the code seems less likely. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20749632
JonS
Yeah, the reported decryption/decoding is somewhat less than convincing The bits of the "solution" published by the BBC, at least, look extremely dubious, like the guy is just making up sentences whose words each begin with the letters of a group. So apparently [the code block] CMPNW means "Counter Measures [against] Panzers Not Working", rather than any of the other thousands of sentences with those initials, and Mr Young knows this because he's seen an unrelated code book written before Panzers even existed

Spinoza
For now - 'impossible to crack' http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/expert-dismisses-claims-wwii-pigeon-code-has-been-cracked-8431463.html
John Kettler
Armed with the latest update, I'm compelled to agree. Is the Ministry of Silly Cipher solutions located next to the Ministry of Silly Walks? If so, maybe someone wound up in the wrong Ministry? Would explain the illusory solution we got.
