Albe Pavo
Hello guys! Probably i'm experiencing a bug. I'm playing mission 3 in the Fleeting Moment italian campaign. I've a lot of thanks (mostly R35), very close in deployement. I gave them a movement, but they were so close one another that someone started and immediately stopped because of another too close R35 that started moving a second later. Well, EVERY thank that stopped is moving after starting it, from this point on was SLOOOOOOOW. I also tried to stop the for one turn and give the following turn another MOVE order (also FAST and QUICK), but nothing changed. Now i have a couple of thanks moving SLOOOOOOW after my line of advance.. Anyone experienced the same problem? I'm pretty sure it's not a question of tank crew fear of US fire..
Hessian deserter
After your first tank in line is given a movement order. You need to issue delay orders for each tank behind the first one. So give the second tank in line a 10 sec delay before you issue the movement order, give the third tank in line a 15 sec delay, then the 4th a 20 sec delay,,,etc, etc.Hope this helps.
Albe Pavo
Yes, i gave but they bogged anyway, just a 10 sec delay was too few. Anyway i wonder if there is a way to solve this problem while playing, i would like to use again my slooooooooow R35!
Boche
Thing is if your front vehicle has track damage its going to hold up all of your column. maybe thats the issue.
Albe Pavo
No no it's a pure bug. Now formation is loose and everyone have all spaces needed. But the two vehicles of the second lines who stumpled in the beginning in the traffic-stop, never recovered their speed and move a little slower than walking infantry from then on.
Erwin
Re track damage you can check the damage window. Otherwise, if there is no obvious reason why the units are still going slow, it may be a bug.

cool breeze
My some of my R35's took some track damage that made them super slow. They were especially super slow off road, way too slow, I had too keep the ones with the busted tracks on the road. Hows the bypass going otherwise?
eltorrente
The vehicle driving/pathing behavior is terrible in this game, and has been this way since the very beginning. I wish there was a "convoy" command or something, that made the vehicles simply match the path of the one in front, or something like that. What I usually do, is give a 10 or 15 second delay between vehicles. Also, I like to give the first one a faster move order than the ones behind, so Fast/quick/Move for the first three. Once they start pausing on their own, it goes downhill quick. They start turning off the road, trying to bypass, then causing more problems behind them.
Boche
what I just ussualy do to keep a convoy moving is just move them all at normal speed stop by stop and turn by turn on the roads.
sburke
Yes i have it! I won't have a chance to look at it for about a week, but I'll PM you. If you can send me a copy of the file I can take a look.

Baneman
Albe, are you sure they're not moving over really really bad terrain ? If they're offroad and crossing a sort of hedge-looking terrain, they will move superslow. Edit: No problem, just thought I should check.
Albe Pavo
Yes i'm sure for two reasons: 1. other tanks moved previously and are still moving in the same terrain; 2. i tried this battle some other time and i always experienced the same: any vehicles that stopped because of a "traffic-jam", from then on moved dramatically slow. It doesn't matter vehicle type or terrain, i experienced it with R35, but also tankette and PzIII. Now i have just 2 R35 in this situation.
cool breeze
So you checked the damage display and it isn't from the tracks being trashed by mortars? do they speed up if you move them on the road?
Albe Pavo
I will check again, but i'm sure it's not a track damage.
