xwormwood Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 Yes, of course, heard of it, but even though the sub carried sea planes, well, if this quilifies to be called a "carrier", well, than nearly every WW2 CA and BB were carriers as well. What came to my mind when i read your post were the FA 330 gyro-gliders some germans subs had on board. Btw.: Germany had a similar experiment, which was canceled: the Arado Ar 231 And here the wikipedia list with all submarine-borne aircrafts.
