womble Posted May 6, 2012 Share Posted May 6, 2012 Try a different squad (if you're in setup, with the liberty to futz about). The way squads split sometimes is affected by their precise makeup. It depends on what "specialists" etc you have. I'm assuming the MG is an MG42, which is a bit odd, but I can see it happening if you've somehow gotten an MG42 into the hands of a troop that's not a "Gunner" specialist (either as a buddy-aid lewt roll, or, and I'm speculating a bit here, as a result of having low quality troops with less-than-the-usual allocation of specialists). If it's an MP40/MP44, then what you're seeing is expected behaviour. If there are more than one SMG/assault rifles in the squad, the non-leader will usually be assigned as part of the scout team. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GerryCMBB Posted May 6, 2012 Author Share Posted May 6, 2012 Thanks but at setup I just have 2 Rifle squads and both have 2 MG42s. I think I figured it out though.
