Scotman1973
Can and how do we download posted scenarios off the Battlefront website? Or do we have to go somewhere else. Sorry for the newbie question. Scot
xian
Can = YES How = Create an account and download like normal Do We = No - Everything that works for PC works for Mac too (YAY!)
Michael Emrys
Do We = No - Everything that works for PC works for Mac too (YAY!) I'm not so sure. I DLed a scenario and installed it in my Battle folder, but it never showed up in the list. I tried changing the name to conform with the format of the other scenarios, but that didn't help. So I just gave up and have stuck with QBs, which basically I like better anyway. Michael
Javaslinger
Was it a compressed file?
Michael Emrys
It was a couple of months ago, so I don't recall. But I don't think so or it wouldn't have shown up on my desktop as it did. Michael
xian
I've downloaded about 20 scenarios from the repository and they all show up in the menu in my Mac version of CMBN. Perhaps the OP confused .btt files and .cam files?
JyriErik
There's (at least) one file, Pointe du Hoc, which won't run on the Mac. There might be others, but I havne't tried avery file yet. Jyri
xian
I have run 'Pointe du Hoc' on my Mac. Admittedly I only loaded it to setup phase just to look around. So I do know it loads, but whether it plays is another question. Actually - I do remember that it sometimes quits when loading... not sure why, and doesn't happen all the time.
Michael Emrys
Perhaps the OP confused .btt files and .cam files? Something like that. I don't recall what the original format was, but .btt is what I changed it to. Still wouldn't run. Michael
Guest
If you're changing the extension, it's probably not the right type of file. Which one did you have trouble with? The PC and Mac versions have the EXACT same file format, so anything you download should load regardless. Pointe du Hoc has a very specific bug associated with it. It makes use of a few gray areas, and it can trip up pretty much any Mac loading it. There'll be a Pointe du Hoc-specific fix in the next patch.
Michael Emrys
Okay I looked it up and it is Die Lezte Hofnung. It's in my scenario folder but doesn't show up in the list of battles available for play. Has any other Mac user had any problems with it or am I all alone on this one? Guest
Die Letzte Hoffnung is actually a campaign. It downloads as a RAR file. Un-rar it, then put the resulting .cam file in your Campaigns folder (which is also in your Game Files folder). Then it should show up for play in the Campaign screen.
Michael Emrys
Righty-o, Phil. I'll give that a try. Michael
Michael Emrys
Okay, did that. Now it doesn't show up in my list of campaigns. Michael
Guest
Hmm. Just tried it myself before writing that last post, and it worked fine. Let's see. So you: 0) Downloaded from the repository, 1) Un-rar'd the file, 2) Placed the .cam file in your Campaigns directory, And it isn't showing up? Can you send me the file, please? I'll take a look at it.
Michael Emrys
Can you send me the file, please? I'll take a look at it. Sure. Where do I send it? Michael
Guest
My email is just my first name (as shown above) at battlefront.com.
Michael Emrys
File sent. Hope you have better luck with it than I did. Michael
Guest
Yep! My reply is in the process of sending right now.
Scotman1973
Still having issues. The files download, appear as .btt files (although the icon reads as an exec file), but still do not show up in the game menu. Advice anyone?
Guest
Can you send me one of the files, please? Where are you putting the files after you download them?
