Thanks! Here is one more: A Firefly waits in a hull down overwatch position overlooking the eastern outskirts of Buron, having just knocked out a German Jagdpanzer

Good way of announcing your presence on these boards - most welcome :)

Enjoy your stay - I suspect it will be for long.

Nice screenie.

Thanks, and I bet I will stay for a long time, CMBN is such a great game.

Maximdim,

Are those your guys or did you cause that?  Serious carnage.

Heinrich505

Nope they we're the enemy. 3 squads and 2 machine guns we're just around the corner and they shot 'em up. :)

Hey Guys, I started playing CMBN for a couple weeks now. I discovered that there was a screenshot thread, and I decided to give it a try. So here you go.

I call it "The Highway of Death and Destruction"

Welcome.  Nice first screenshot.  If one or more of those half-tracks were burning it would be even more destructive looking than it already is.  Don't know if you have gotten into mods for the game yet but I have a feeling you would like Veins base markers from the repository.  The mod changes the red X from incapacitated casualties and KIAs to a puddle of blood.  (Light red for WIA, dark red for KIA)  Now lets see some more screenshots. :)

Very nice! Looks lifelike. Convert that to greyscale and you'd have a photo from the war.

And then there is CMFI and CMRT and CMBS and soon the Bulge-game, that is a lifetime sentence :)

I know, I really want to get those games too so that I can have the full set!  :)

Thanks! I use a bunch of Veins mods for the textures and I have a couple of sound mods but this is really cool. Going to go get it now!

So, I was going through my screenshot folder and thought I would post a bunch from a recently completed PBEM with LukeFF where we fought on Hill 262 (CW The Mace). I fought as the Poles, and Luke fought at as the Germans. We also did DARs for this match, but only Luke completed his. Yeah, I was a slacker. Here are the links to the DARs if you wish to read them:

This was a twofer. The round knocked out one halftrack, passed through it, and took out another one (offscreen).

Much of this scenario consisted of intense forest fighting, as seen here at the North Slope:

The following series shows the Poles retaking the objective labeled The Knoll. There was a German forward observer team there that gave me much grief. They were dispatched with no remorse:

To try help out the doomed Panzer IVs at Vimoutiers Rd, the Germans send their lone working Panther. Unfortunately it caused great damage to the Polish armor there. Here is one of it's burning victims:

While the Panther was occupied taking out armor at Vimoutiers Rd, some enterprising Polish troops take the initiative to close assault the beast and destroy it, killing all but one of the crew when they bailed (The TC was taken out earlier. Played that scenario against vKleist a long time ago.  I think he ended up with a minor allied victory, not sure.  All I do remember was it was a vicious brawl.  Lots of fun.  I don't recall having a StuG though.  I only remember the Pz IVs and Panthers.

Thanks y'all, glad you liked them! Definitely recommend this scenario for H2H play if you're looking for an intense game.

Awesome series of screenies Rambler!

What horizon mod is that?

The horizons are from Aris's horizon mod: http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/4811/detailsThere are two horizon options in the download, and I believe the one I'm using is the first option.

Screenshots after my own heart, nothing like a good old smashing of armor. Can you drop a link or a name to the Uniform mod however?

Which uniforms?
