  1. I ordered T-72 in 2005 when it first came out. I got a beautiful manual and two CD disks In a non descriptive brown envelope In the mail...cool!!! I played and eventually won all 18 missions on an under-spec computer. I recall trying to down the Mi-8 helicopter with the AA matching gun with the lousiest frame rate ever. I finally did it. A friend gave me an old laptop that he was about to throw away and I installed Windows XP and T-72! I’m going to try to beat it again. Anybody else playing right now? This game was dismissed by the Steel Beasts community back then and is the bes
  2. Don't know how old this doc is, but not only does it have some great stuff on the T-90, but also the latest version of the T-80 (T-80UK?). The doc specifically describes how the T-90 fires a whole new family of ammunition and describes Ainet, but without naming it. There is also a quite detailed segment which talks about the T-90's armor array and gives the vs KE and vs HEAT numbers with and without Kontakt V. What particularly interested me was the mention of a new cannon launched ATGM more advanced than Refleks and in service. I believe I heard it as Agon, but no guarantees on the accuracy o
  3. Not everyone here knows modern armor, and I daresay of those who do, few have seen the inside of a T-72. Certainly I hadn't, having been inside only a relatively capacious T-55 and a positively claustrophobic and dangerous even while static T-62. This Hi-Res vid gives a nice tour, but I must say I'd dearly love a proper video of the T-72's location: the Australian Armour & Artillery Museum, which seems to be not only full of goodies (including drool inducing RAM), but goodies which are spaced far enough apart you can see and image them properly. Your tour guide is a former Challenger tan
  4. I've heard rumours of a Shock Force sequel so I thought this blog may come in handy if it were to ever happen, Syria has done some serious overhauling on some of their T-72's, I don't know how the game engine would simulate it but it would be interesting. Enjoy the blog http://spioenkop.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/syrias-steel-beasts-t-72.html
