  1. Nice reports! Yea and I just ended the mission and decided F that lol, I knew i'd lose all my KTs in that fog after the first couple of mine got killed, they were invaluable in the following missions
  2. yea post your results afterwards i'd be interested to see some other peoples! Plus I have zero idea what the diverging trees will do so it could be very different if you win/lose the 1st or 2nd missions

After heated fighting the day prior under heavy fog the unit was forced to withdraw due to hampering weather conditions, despite this, PzAbt 501 prepared for the defense of the towns outskirts east and west the next day. Despite enemy numerical advantage and the debut of multiple heavy IS-2 tanks, our Tiger-II's proved their superior engineering and won the day, without a single loss in their brave combat actions. Furthermore, surprisingly infantry losses were significantly low due to the enfilading fire provided by von Legats well placed positions, our success allowed for further offensive actions by the 3rd PZ Corps and the war continues on! Had a lot of fun and was quite pleased with my casualty ratio, no save scumming involved and my first try.   5. Looks ten times better, for full price game DLC this is what I expect!

I think a nice addition to the mission would be two heavy flaks flanking the map from high positions to represent the berlin flak towers which were the main reason sov tanks could not approach the RS without heavy casualties, this with more sov tanks & inf to make the german scenario harder. In my mission I still had a lot of soldiers ready to fight
  7. not sure, for me Russians piecemealed and final scenario w/ the Reichstag was no challenge, had majority of my forces and volkssturm mowed down most of the sov troops in alleyways as 1 squad at a time filed through with 0 tank support, the tanks being too busy rotating on rubble piles for 6 turns and getting glitched on top of the Brandenburg gate
  8. Yea the 2nd map has a good background with the admin buildings but the reichstag and brandenburg gate felt rushed and bugged as hell, the Reichstag was hard to take for the russians and in this they got mowed the moment they peeked their heads from the blown out wall models was silly.
  9. Just wanted to hear some thoughts if anyone else shared my view on the defense campaign inside berlin for the germans as somewhat underwhelming? While the 1st mission was really good and I enjoyed it a lot with the amount of men and artillery in such a small area, the 2nd mission really felt like a letdown to me, I understand the architecture limitations for the developers but the brandenburg gate & reichstag looked totally unsimilar and an IS-2 somehow glitched ontop of the gate and was bugged to ****. I know the AI isn't very good on the attack as well but their performance in the 1st mission felt miles better than the final one where they proceeded to piecemeal attack allowing themselves to be mowed down by volkssturm and wasting their armor turning it in circles over and over to get panzerfausted or sprint into buildings to my spawn and sit there taking potshots till the end of the game. I liked the detail in the reinforcements and historical accuracy but what should have felt like the last stand felt more like abusing braindead AI, or is it just me?
  10. Might have already been touched on, but will we see any VS Weaponry made end of the war? Volkssturm gewehr, Volkssturm karabiner, etc?

I often find it to be entertaining to fight against the odd's, see how long I can hold with what i'm given, which is why I along with others am eager to see just what lengths the development team went into the accuracy and depth of the late war soldiers of the east. The hodge podge nature of the mixed SS, Volkssturm, Polizei, Luftwaffe Auxiliaries, Falschirm., Kriegsmariner and other units in my opinion just makes for a fun challenge considering all of the different variables of what a German commander could expect to receive in 1945 often demanding superior tactics to overcome all the deficiencies that your motivated and well equipped enemy does not share.
  12. I hope defense missions on campaign for the Germans are finally a thing, defending berlin/seelow heights with volkssturm and army remnants seems like a good challenge
