What I have picked up by playing SF2. Ground attack aircraft can spot AFV's independently but not infantry. Time your air units with operations on the ground. Backed up my scimitars with Apache Gunships which made a very effective recon. During an attack, helicopters take out enemy units inside buildings if engaged. Keep your units well outside the area you have nominated for your air-units. World War 2 I think we should have less control on company level and time it inside the first 15 minutes of a game. We can always make our own adaptions of the game at home.

I would say leave it in the game. And people can decide if they want to use it or not.

  2. So I did a test- CW - QB - Warrior setting.

With my best FO and with the BN. commander standing next to him the best I could get.

On map 60 and 81 Mortars  8 Mins.

Off map 60 and 81 mortars 19 Mins.

    Off map 155SP 25 Mins.

Off map 8 inch 26 Mins.

Then I tried it on Elite  There was no change.

These numbers are slower than most ww2 numbers.

    My question is why.

    lol.

This is a really realistic simulator. This corresponds to the time of WW2.

Agree this is a very realistic simulator. But I think there a little off with air power in RT.

If you get to close to your own air or artillery strike the game will punish you. And im all for that.

Friendly fire is a fact of war.

To each his own. In RT Ill get by with out it.

You guys can tell me I'm crazy all you want, I know there is a performance difference. Hell, some of the battles in CMFB you have 3 battalions of infantry on your side + a gigantic map.... And it works.

Couldnt dream of doing that in CMBN.

Also, a couple titles crash when you load things in the editor too quickly. The newer games really don't have this issue. I noticed it first in CMSF, and then CMSF2.

CMSF2 feels like the same crap CMSF is (compared to the newest and greatest cmx2 games of course). I really haven't touched the title since I bought it.

Yes I have always thought that RT and FB look and play better than BN.
