  1. Thanks Nigel, I think I need to get in those buildings and see how they work. I was also thinking that the issue might be that you had to 'construct' the large buildings by sticking smaller buildings together. I haven't spent a lot of time on the stock Berlin stuff like @benpark's fine work, but I assume the large buldings work in a similar way? Again, something I need to get in and try.
  2. Just caught up on this one. I assume the issue is that fighting inside large buildings only really works in the game if the said buildings are compartmentalised into connected smaller buildings, and then, fighting through the connected walls is not really correct? Or am I missing the point?
  3. Yes, I continue to get the same, plus of course the damaged main gun issue. I mainly seem to see this on Panthers and Tigers but maybe I just notice it more with them as high end assets. Discussed a few times elsewhere of course...
  4. And why not JM, it's always good to see your posts. I do think I mis-read your post as saying it's in the titty-tag .
  5. Excellent work all of you wonderful people, I'm loving it (a lot more than a Maccy D).
  6. Interesting, this was one of my thoughts but I stuck more with the hide and snipe. I did suggest the full on attack as a joke to my opponent. Oh well, shoulda coulda woulda. Plenty of fight to go though...
  7. You can play as Allied, for example Cat and Mouse which I'm playing against @Ultradave. I'm the one with the IS2s, and I think I'd say it's a tough ask for both sides. Great work by @George MC once more, and the map for this one is excellent (and totally new I think?).
  8. Yes, in a PBEM just now my IS2 round was stopped by a tree a couple of metres in front of an enemy Panther. Hmmm....
  9. From memory, look near the bottom left in the selection screen and there are options for on/off map etc.
  10. I second the thanks, but directed at you Pete for some great maps (I think we've been there before but never mind).
  11. That Monty P sketch is one of their best, love it. I'm not from Yorkshire though .
  12. Are we actually talking about Commonwealth units here? As in:
  13. I'm a bit late in posting here but hey ho. I can't play the games without the above, thankfully now lovingly taken over by @Ithikial_AU. On top of this some favourites of mine are @Lucky_Strike's Hedgerow Hell (and a Red Thunder variant), Aris' vehicles (he's not on the forum these days), @Mord's portraits and the fine work done by @kohlenklau. Please gentlemen, blush ye not, praise is well deserved. There are many others sitting in my Z folders, for which I'm also truly grateful.
  14. Have you still got it Phil? No, on second thoughts better ignore that... Anyway if I was in charge of the 'beta team' I would invite you to become a member. On a voluntary basis of course, paid with the occasional beer and pizza.
  15. @BFCElvis is your man for sorting such issues. Not sure if the OP got sorted as he hasn't been back since?
  16. A 'penal unit'? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penal_military_unit EDIT: Erwin beat me to it LOL. I'd also like to take the opportunity to apologise for doing so little testing on this, you kindly sent me a btt file and I loaded it up but then got sidetracked. Is there something which needs testing now?
  17. Hi Artkin Looking at the thread on FGW it seems progress has stalled due to 1. lack of players 2. no-one wanting to be Top Commander (on either side) 3. concerns that the scale of the operation might require a lot of time commitment. I can sort of understand point 3 as it looked like I might be commanding two Soviet divisions, but I may be misunderstanding it. Anyway, sorry that you've put in so much unrewarded effort but maybe we can still get something going?
  18. We're still going, up to turn 010 so I think we don't have the reported issue here. Not yet, not yet...
  19. Affirmative, all working so far and 006 returned. Now to have my *** handed to me . FWIW I'm on PC and have not removed any of my vast plethora of mods (but mine are obviously not the same collection as yours). Dave is on a Mac, not sure about his mods but I think he normally runs 'clean'. It is a big map and for me takes a while to load, but once in seems fine and is the usual quality we know and love from @George MC
  20. Give me a few minutes (I'm eating a turkey, ham and cranberry pie ) and I should have the first 'proper' turn done. I'll be back shortly with an answer... EDIT: First proper Soviet turn completed and saved, now on Dropbox.
  21. My first turn in response to Dave's initial turn asked me to put in a password and return. For the next turn, I had to put in my pasword and I'm now in the game proper. Let the tank fun commence .
