I've been playing for real life time about an hour. Game minutes that have past - two. This **** is stressful. It's only been two minutes. I've probably already made mistakes. ****.

I bought Normandy for $29. I returned it after about an hour of play. I know it's supposed to be updated to the new game engine, but it's pretty ****in dated. It's bananas outdated when compared to the how nice Black Sea looks. I'll stick with CMSF2 and CMBS, for now.

I finished "Meet the Flinstones" with a tactical win, but unacceptable losses with 14 dead, 14 wounded and 1 armored vehicle lost. I also apparently did not preserve northern bedrock. It was hard and I guess I didn't even really win. But also fun. Nice work, goes without saying!

There are two folders - one named "Data" and one named "User Data". The install instructions say User Data. I was putting it in the wrong folder.

I think it should just say "Data", that's where you put it in your video.
Thank you again for all you help. Now I can get down to business. I created a "Z" folder in the "Data" folder and now I have the new start-up screen.

Nothing seems to be modded. I have palm trees, but mosque type buildings and default graphics/ui

Thank you, I found it. The show objectives was not on - would you advise to have it on or off? I don't want to cheat.
Also, I must have installed improperly. My Monastery does not look like yours. I purchased the game here, but added it to my steam library. I basically did both versions of the install and have the mod pack folder placed in:
A Z folder in the main directory
In the User Data folder, in a Z folder in User Data, and also in the "mods" folder
...but I still don't have buildings like yours.

I am playing Year of the Rat and in mission 1 the monetary is not shown on the map. Where is it?

Does anyone heve an iron man mod to prevent save scumming. I cannot help myself. I am a slut for restarting even though I promise myself "Not this time!".

I know this is an old thread, but I'm just starting this campaign. I like it a lot so far. Question - the briefing and or tactical map usually shows if, when, and what type of reinforcements are coming; however, this campaign doesn't seem to show that.
Is that on purpose? If not, then how can I know who is coming to the dance? Thanks

I feel like my shift went to ****. I lost vehicles and have platoons and squads spread all over the map and no way to get them all linked back up. I don't want to start over because I know it's largely scripted and I can't be trusted to not cheat....
I ended up getting the British Module for SF2 and downloaded the coup scenario. It's just a few minutes after 0400hours. My plan is to bribe the armor at the bank first, then get a team in place to immediately hit the air defense building followed by an ammo run to the radio station at the same time I free the alderemen from the prison. I'm scared to **** it up, though..and ruin another scenario.

Sounds like your only missing the British module. The British module is needed because a British SF unit is in the scenario. This SF unit may become available for use by the player if certain conditions are met (explained in the briefing).
Back to this mission:
I found a spot that said follow the trail south, so I did. I found some manned emplacements and killed them all - I just happened to notice a piece of barbed wire, so the engineers demo'd it. Is there a message if you destroy a base? Also, that was really hard to see and the only reason I saw it was because I was so zoomed in. Are all the insurgent bases so difficult to spot? Is there a better way I should be searching?
Also, I think I killed the physco. It says 2nd platoon found objective F

You can call on the USMC to support the coup and or evacuate westerners. Of course the arrival of the USMC will trigger more events.....
That looks super cool. I have CMSF2 but only the USMC and NATO packs..so I don't think I can play it since the description says all modules are required.

I already started over since it was only 38 minutes of in-game time. Is the scenario random or will it essentially be the same 38 minutes as my first game? Also, lets get crackin on that cops n' robbers thing.

Firstly, thank you to you and your beta testing minions for making such tasty morsel of a scenario. I've only played about 36 minutes so far, but I'm really enjoying it and look forward to moar! I do have a question, and am thinking of starting over because, while I cannot be sure, I think I got jipped...

I had a 2 man sniper team come in as reinforcements (across from Beliz) that were attached to a command unit that spawned in the FOB. I decided to move the snipers closer to Beliz, but on the next turn a "Butcher Location?" ican popped up right where the sniper team had been - So I decided to move them back to sniff it out.
On the next turn one of my snipers disappeared, poof. On the next turn my remaining sniper saw an enemy truck with a driver in it. I move the sniper in to take a closer look and the poof - he too disappeared with little green arrows....
There was no sign of an enemy base, just a running truck with a driver.
What happened?

I restarted twice before getting to the railway burm. I wasn't sure about so replayability so I didn't want to get too far if things were not the way I wanted. I've never had much luck with engineers and mines. Seems like the only way I ever find mines is the way the enemy intended....
I like it so far. Thanks again.
