    Thank you, very much Aquila, to be honest, I don t feel me really as a good modder, because I have some problems sometimes to apply textures, but more as "a guru" with the devise, "this will works this will not works, we will see", but is very kind of you that you see some of my abilities to mods, anyway, the light on the forum about the 3d, came, because of you, happy that more often now, we have sparks very welcome from news modders, handling terrains, scripts and the 3d in general.

    off the ground and above allowed "in building placement" (which is nogo normally unless using the unit first - building second cheat)
    Both! The hacked MDR is for initial placement only. My theory is that it circumvents the games "no guns nor vehicle" placement editor rule and puts it outside normal boundaries (above the buidling in this case). But a ground unit got to be somewhere, so it can´t float in the air and thus drops down to next "valid" (invalid actually) ground spot, in this case the upper level of a building directly below. The NOGO on destroyed roofs still applies, so it drops down to next "valid" one. That´s my theory.
    Once the Flak sticks to this upper level it gets "valid" status and remains there, even when therafter replacing the hacked MDR with original one again. This status then gets saved with the mission file obviously. Then you can keep going with placing original MDR object like example below.
    This is from 1st game turn setup phase. Doesn´t change when hitting GO. Everybody stands and fights from positions they got assigned during editor placement phase. Fun thing in below example the one Flak on the balcony (right hand building) gets the crew turning to bungee jumpers. At least parts of them. 😅

    Thread shouldn´t see much activity and people usually check out 1st and last post, here the
    Abstract:
    Utilize the Blender method in order to create/import new (3D) objects or modify existing objects in Combat Mission. Furhtermore techniques and ideas how to integrate these in-scenario.
    Mods/Downloads:
    The majority of the 3D custom mods released here are of experimental, educational, and proof-of-concept nature and never had the intention to become a quality/final product. They were not made to look great. Objective was to breach boundaries and enable modders to employ and further develop these techniques in order then to create shelf-ready mods. Was clear to most as I stated it dozen of times but there is always the particuar not very bright struggling to understand, this should sort it out extra clear.

    Alongside documented alot of my Blender experiments by video recording them. Some without commentary, newer ones with. Not easy as the Blender method per se is unusual but computer layman level individuals reported to me they were able to figure it out using the videos. Skip video parts you don´t see relevant. I recommend to start with the later - commented - videos. Linked video 47 is a good start. Playlist:

    My objective is completed. @JM Stuff @37mm @Lucky_Strike  @kohlenklau @NPye and other very talented modders released quality mods and are further developing and exploring new methods.     THE CSABA:
    I will be looking for a CM water cooled MG to import into Blender and "strip it down" by deleting most of the 3D model. I just want the barrel and muzzle. Then I will import my Csaba 3D model. Then I join the 2 by making that water cooled barrel a child of the parent Csaba. Delete what is not needed and rename things as required.

    Take hull from IS-1, delete fuel tanks, take turret from T34 M42, shorten barrel. 1 drop of crazy glue, hold for 10 seconds.

    Some news today
    to  respond to the wish of my friend  @Aragorn2002 I present you a model sdkfz 251 d ambulance version
     
     

     

     
    the vehicle is without damages only an engine problem, that the crew have to evacuated the vehicle !
     
    some modifications intern like added more bed 
    removing all weapons and amo boxes
    changind plate number 
    added more "verbandkasten"
    I cannot remove the mount behind or I will lose all the vehicle structure and can no more export it in mdr.

     
     
    now I see the problem there is no engine hehehe !

    first for my friend @Aragorn2002 ONE of the red cross vehicles 

     
    than again the idea from "Not introduce British vehicles" (in the threath CMRT Battle pack) this is the ones that I would like include, in CMBN, first as a floating Icons wrecks, than to replace the usual "vehicle in movements" like the British Bedford 
     
    my famous chevrolet for the Canadian soldiers (they are waiting already since 1 year about !)
    hull from the original Bedford with cabin and more from the chevrolet !
    view from Blender the view from CM could be (will be) probably different.
     

     
    also would like introduce the following Bedford without camo
     

     

     
    and would like also introduce Bussing for heavy things and munitions 
    hull from Opel Blitz cabin from Bussing for CMRT 
     
    untill this moment there is a lot a lot of work

    Comming back to another older project, that I try to present you, no  it's not a railroad, but a new attempt to create tank tracks with flavors objects, they will be only valid for all other tiles, except all streets in CM, which will have a separate mod I have already done
    this is only a try not sure if this will work !
    I don't know why, I always have the view on and off from objects, appearing and disappearing, when I'm close to the flavor objects, like show in the video.
    The tracks are double because I think that more as two vehicles will not "enter" in the same print tracks, but probably this give confusion on the view of a map...?!
    Sorry for the poor quality of the video and how I try to succeed in showing something correct.
    Others must come, like the print of some wheeled vehicles !

    This project is not dead at all 😀
    The Campaign "Tiger Trail" is going into the final stage of developement. There will be 16 single missions to be playtested. 
    First mission for testing is ready now. 
    "KG Kuehn Adamowicze":  Command elements of Panzer-Division "Totenkopf", attacking a soviet bridgehead northwest of Grodno. Map size 2km x 2,5km.
    2:30 hours. 
     
    If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will send you the file.

    This has got to be a CM first a complete map of Anhalter Bahnhof area in Berlin, parts of the station buildings have elements of the original building, we have a goods yard, 2 turnstiles and 20 plus tracks all leading to the station, we have 100s of carriages, opposite the station entrance we have the famous Europahaus on Saarlandstraße which leads to Potsdamer Platz which in turn leads to the New Reichs Chancellery and the Reichstag... The Soviets grand prize. The attacking force will be from Konevs 1st Ukrainian Front, and he is in a hurry to beat Zhukov to the Reichstag. So clearing the station and surrounding area is a must for him and his troops must do it quickly if they are to have any chance of getting to the Reichstag first. The Race is on...
    Big thanks to Lucky strike for getting the Train from 3d to in-game. Cheers

    In my goody box in the CMRT section is the new mod and the first scenario CSIR PRIMO SANGUE...briefing at the bottom.
    NOTE FOR Z FOLDER ISSUES: This mod has a folder that should only be in the z folder WHEN you play the scenario, otherwise your script file is hosed up. There is also a new introduction song in Italian, a real toe tapper called "The legend of Piave" (a WW1 battle song) and a splash screen and UI mods. Stuff you don't want in there UNLESS playing the CMRT Italy Mod. If you have lots of extra voices in German, you will probably still hear them. I did mod all stock voices to be Italian. I tried to cover the stock number of slots for helmets and uniforms. So again, if you have extra stuff in your z, then you might see some oddities. If you can, pull that stuff out and keep it outside z safe until AFTER you play this new battle.

    ...late morning on the heights west of the River Bug. 10 August 1941. The sky is overcast, the wind is light from the east. The ground is slightly damp from recent rains.

    You are Capitano D'Carlo of the CC.NN. "Camicie Nere" (Blackshirts). Your Blackshirt company is assigned to attack on the Battalion's right flank towards Prybuzhany. Taking Prybuzhany will support crossing the Bug River. The men are jubilant to FINALLY encounter some action after the long trip from Italy.

    The Soviet rearguards are expected to offer short but intense resistance. They may hold until killed or captured. -OR- They may pull back and try to cross the river themselves.

    The Company Sergente Maggiore has brought up ammo crates for each squadra (squad) <in your 2 plotone (platoon) binary  organization>. Carefully top off the small arms ammo as necessary before commencing the attack. 1 of your 2 plotoni (platoons) has staged down by the wheat fields and should sweep forward and swing out to the right to clear the fields and houses as it moves toward Prybuzhany as your "right hook". Your other plotone is in reserve but is covering your left flank. At about 10 to 15 minutes, they will arrive by the road to provide cover fire for your final assault, or to join the assault. The Battalion has attached 1 HMG and a team of assault engineers to assist you in accomplishing your mission. You have your own section of three light mortars to also support your assault. Mortar ammunition should be conserved as best you can...

    You have 30 minutes Capitano! Points are awarded for destroying enemy units and occupying the terrain objectives. There are also two parameter bonuses: 1) keep your casualties very low below 10%. 2) destroy most of the enemy, more than 75%.

    Hi bud. The trouble is the bmp has only 1 section for the length of the train, it then repeats this x4 plus 1 new texture in the middle. So it can't be done in either blender or on the .bmp file... Cheers
    You may be able to see what i mean on this carriage (same .MDR file). The section is from the left the first 2 windows, then it repeats it to make the other sections, the other section are not on the .bmp file? Cheers
