    1. There were three variatiions of HBT shirts and 2 trouser variations.
    2. There were two shades as well, a light one and and the darker OD7.
    3. AFAIK Most of the HBT used in Normandy were third type (plain pockets, square pocket flaps), but some second type (fold in the middle of the pocket) were used as well.
    4. Light shade and OD7 darker shade were in use, but I think the darker OD7 shade was much more common.
    5. Trouser had cargo side pockets placed very high on the thight. AFAIK the first model with no cargo pockets was not in use at that time.
    6. As a rule, the HBT shirt was not tucked inside the trouser. It was a bit baggy, but short.
    7. The 4th Inf. Div. wore the HBT fatigue uniform over the Field Jacket (collectors call it "M41") and wool trousers in order to protect them and because nights were still cold in Normandy. The HBT garments were impregnated with an anti-vesicant compund. It seems it smelled really bad, so most impregnated garments were discarded soon after the landings.
    8. As a rule, no divisional insignia was worn on the HBT shirt.

    yes Fernando absolutely correct.
So as @Warts 'n' all was not satisfied
I changed the colors, squared the pockets
    For badges:
The 4 ID there is an exception that has been made and the wearing of this one authorized exceptionally.
the HBT was indeed impregnated, I have a relic HBT 43 jacket from June 6 impregnated it still smells a little, but it is especially to the touch that the sensation is unpleasant

@Falaise Although I am normally a big fan of your work, I do prefer the 4th Infantry mods that were produced some years back. But, it is all down to personal taste.

I couldn't find a 4 di mod that matches the start of the campaign
the helmets have no insignia and the outfits are the classic outfit not the HBT 43
But i agree with you, the more i watch them the less i like them ...
The color must be darker and the bottom of the jacket was worn in the pants, the breast pocket was square
this is a first draft to be reworked
    watch this

  3. Let's be clear, I'm looking forward to the pack😍
which covers the Utah sector and the dropzones
There are many para mods but few on the 4 ID US
The 4 ID US is a particularly interesting unit, it has already masterfully succeeded in its landing and moreover it is commanded by an emblematic officer who will die a few weeks later of a heart attack: T Roosevelt. He is buried here in Normandy with his brother who fell during the 1st World War. They are the very symbol of the sacrifice of the United States on French soil during the 2 world wars.
the 4 wears the "ivy" on the helmet, non-regulatory but relatively common
Similarly, the wearing of HBT43 is standardized at least on day d and the days that follow in the unit
the unit also massively wears the assault vest on June 6
I made a mod helmet badge and the HBT43  outfit.
Jm stuff has in these drawers, the assault vest
Can be @BFCElvis and @Ithikial_AU could you tag everything and communicate the tags so that this mod mod is easily usable by those who wish it even those who have trouble with the tags

Hmmm, mine are in the fields on the other side of the village, but I'd best not add any spoilers.  In any case I'm happy that I've cleared a lot of the hiding Bolsheviks (as far as I know), onwards to victory.  I have never maneuvred so many Tigers and also the artillery on hand is very nice.  I am however feeling a bit 'naked' without infantry support, old habits die hard...

it's true it's cool such a power of the tigers to not know what to do with it.

In this battle I'm sure you're right, but I like to have infantry as eyes in front of the panzers.  Next scenario?

yes my pixel tankers grumbled that in I asked them to do the recce on foot in the snow: "we don't have shoes for that, it's cold, I'm not an infantryman, etc..." 😀

To do it would involve redoing every vehicle capable of carrying passengers from the ground up. New models and new textures for every vehicle in the base game, 2 modules and the Vehicle Pack. A massive task that I don't see happening. In the interest of future titles, I think most would agree that the value of dedicating those kinds of resources  would not be the best way to spend that time and those resources.

I thought that as all German vehicles are already made for FB and RT and allied vehicles are made or soon to be made with the release of the FB mod this will be possible given that the engines of the different games have been aligned.
But if it doesn't work like that then I understand!!!

  6. I quite like this idea of a Normandy battle pack geared towards infantry combat
I hope the battlepack will have flavor items necessary for immersion:
Fields full of wrecks from Waco and Horsa...😍

which will also be useful for Arnhem.

I would say that pretty much the entire Normandy theatre is open for a redo....Many things have been improved or added since the first Normandy game got released.

    To name a few IIRC...

    - Flamethrowers

    - updates to handheld AT weapons

    - Doubeling the number of AI groups and AI order slots

    - Triggers

    - The later modules and the vehicle pack added a pretty impressive amount of new equipment (and formations i belive).

These changes/improvements will allow for a very different set of scenarios compared to the original release even if they cover more or less the same topics..

I hope to see much more from Normandy...😎

I would like the infantry to be able to mount the armored vehicles

Sadly, I can't find any files other than the ones that begin with a 3.

    uh
    yes it's 302 instead of 502
my old mind is omnibilized by German heavy tank battalions

I forgot to specify the church is St Pierre de Caen
with the pun of course 😉

  8.

    I agree with you @Bulletpoint @Erwin
even if i today in Normandy the churches have this appearance it is because they are regularly cleaned
at the time, 600 years of chimney smoke had clogged the stone
However all my attempts to smear them have failed
because some part washed by the rain was clear while the other protected from the wind and the rain was dark. If I can made something realistic I will put it online
    before and after scrubbing

    cjpk.jpg
@Warts 'n' all the tower is called 502 (01) you have to make sure it is present. You can in your z file make a zzzz folder and put the mods, there it will take priority over the others

  9. I finished the scenario
    the map is really great
I didn't know about this battle, I looked at what happened in real life: big battle.
it turns out that I have on several occasions crossed the battlefield without knowing what had happened
I had my first tank losses in the area of the cemetery as it happened in real life.
It's very easy for the Germans, I think you should add anti-tank guns to rebalance, there were some in 1945
In any case very beautiful, and a vast map allowing the maneuver, I love

It seems to me that some of the files which are stone have the both sets of numbers 00 and 01. So we get stone towers with red brick sides and rear.

    I checked it works,

you have to think about deleting the previous files

  11. Here is a church pack in Caen stone and brick numbered 301 (00) and (01); 302 (00) and (01); 303 (00) and (01)

    attention!!
for technical reasons the numbering is different. This it replaces the old ones

Don't be troubled by that Steph, it's fun.  I've even played several games against the superhuman that is @kohlenklau.  And always in his own scenarios, what could possibly go wrong 🤣?  Happily they have been more of a play-test situation so I was lucky.

Apart from my boys in a revolving chair, I've never tried it but for some time it made me want !!

    I prefer allies...
    I'm excited like a "pucelle"
Humm i better beware with all the english people on this forum, and their  immoderate taste for burning them in public place 🙄:P
