  1. I Love what is going on with this mod and 100% support the tough decisions made on standardisation and simplification. Found two tiny oversights: 1. The silhouettes for the JPz IV (early) and JPz IV/70(V) are the same; they're both the silhouette for the JPz IV (early). 2. The branch indicator icon for Soviet armoured infantry doesn't show up in-game. I assumed because the icon's name in the files is "soviet motorized infantry" when it should be "soviet armored infantry". This assumption turned out to be correct when I changed the name and loaded up a fresh game. Cheers and thanks again for taking the reins on this great mod!
  2. Bringing a bit of an old topic back to life here: I have been messing around with the new RT:FR for a few hours trying to get the [fielddivision] tagged skins to show up in QBs. They do not. I loaded a battle with every month, in every region, and they didn't come up. For ease of identification I tagged EZ's LW Field Division skins with the [fielddivision] tag and left the smod_german_lw_camo / smod_german_lw_m43 files unmodded so therefore EZ's fine skins would show up if [fielddivision] was ever activated. I made a super quick test custom scenario, adding the [fielddivision] mod tag and that worked. So it is clearly the same thing the infamous Soviet [cavalry] tag. What I don't get about this tag is that the tagged skins are identical to the untagged versions... I don't know how feasible this would be, but a radical fix for Battlefront to implement would actually be eliminating the [fielddivision] tag all together and replacing it with something like [LW panzergrenadier] which all the HG skins would be tagged with, and the skins that are currently [fielddivision] could be deleted since they are the same as untagged lw_camo & lw_M43 skins anyways... That way the options would be "mixed camo" (lw_camo_soldier) and "standard" (lw_m43_soldier) for Field Division troops featuring green collar dogs, LW camo smocks, plus mix of LW field blue / heer field grey tunics and "LW panzergrenadier" would be HG Div troops with white collar dogs, and skins with other camos (Italian/SS + some LW) like DougPhresh showed in his post. Something that I will be implementing in my games is that when I want to play Luftwaffe PzGr: in my mod folder I'll just manually switch the smod_german_lw_m43 uniforms with EZ's HG uniforms and select "standard" appearance in the QB editor. Otherwise I'll just be keeping EZ's field division skins as the default in my mod folder. I might also create the tag [LW pzgr] if I find any campaigns/battles (other than Conrath's Counterattack) that feature the HG Division and manually adjust those...
  3. Thanks for the info; I guess I was out to lunch then! Good to know that it is right after all.
  4. I just fired up a quick battle to compare the Rifle Battalion 43 to the 44 and the same fix for the 43! The manning of the squads was corrected to the lower strength for the 44 pattern and the 3rd rifle platoon was made SMG - all good. BUT now the rifle companies in the Rifle Battalion 43 also have SMG platoon + 2 rifle platoons in lieu of 3 rifle platoons...
  5. I have 2 questions that must have been brought up before but unfortunately I couldn't find an answer in my forum searches... 1. the force selection options for QBs seems unnecessarily complicated , the scenario designer is much more streamlined. An example of what I am getting at is the Pz Div escort company is located in the infantry and mech formations tab for QBs but is only in the armoured formations tab (more logically in my opinion) in the scenario designer. Another example: armoured/ mech infantry are in infantry formations and mech formations in QBs, where in scenario designer they're only in the mech formation tab. This goes for all the other WW2 CMx2 games. Is there any reason why the scenario designer force selection menu wasn't/ can't just be copied for QB setup? 2. Related but slightly off the above topic: is the armoured engineer uniform option for panzer-pioneers not functional for the base game? I cannot seem to get it to work. It works in CMBN but not RT.
  6. These vehicle sounds as well as the Allied ones are really good. Not too loud and overpowering with nice varieties of sounds.
  7. mjkerner - That set is incomplete, it is missing the camo_peas uniforms. There also used to be uniform sets like these (http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=2766 , http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=3913) but specific for Normandy ( less camo and an additional set with a Pz Lehr mod tag/ insignia on the uniforms)
  8. Hello All, My hard-drive fried itself the other day and I am in the process of re-modding my CM games but I cannot locate some of the mods I had. Specifically EZ German uniform mods for CMBN, he had full sets for SS Das Reich (m43, camo_peas, pz/stug crew, and smock), the same (minus the camo peas, obviously) for Heer/ Pz Lehr Div., and Normandy fallschirmjagers. If anyone has these I would really appreciate having them back.
