  1. Nice that they fixed the T-90s but Gil still broke, even worse, the hotfix I made for it doesn't work anymore . They changed it from firing out at the angle of the launcher, to a totally horizontal launch now, then it falls into the same ground-skimming obstacle-seeking flight profile.
  2. it's a model problem, not unusual in CM games, no need to reinstall the suspension has no texture name in 6mb variant a patch is coming soon but I dont know if this will be fixed or not so i had a go at fixing it > https://www.mediafire.com/file/qpg1j7fp4ngeusa/mt-lbm-6mb.mdr/file
  3. Watching him for a week or two now. I like the name - 'Mr Pointy Stick Man' best (he has lots of names on western social media, Professor of Death is one). He's very matter of fact but he doesnt like worms I've been watching way too much footage, I feel next to nothing, maybe only some pity when its mobiks getting wasted, but some footage today of ukr troops on the receiving end filled me with anger. I'm sure its unhealthy, I need a break from it I think.
  4. End of Meijel Mayhem, Tactical Defeat for me as the German's but mostly cause I ran out of time, was playing for fun and focusing on force preservation (lost only 3 tanks - 1 PzV, 1 Luchs, 1 JzPzIVA). Nice scenario, lots of issues regarding movement to consider, an open flank, mud off-road, canals, mines, choke-points. Quite interesting overall. In progress game Battle for Chaumont - Second Round, again trying to keep everyone alive. Lost a PaK40 and a StuG III, one JgPzIV damaged so far. I spent the first 10 minutes setting up C2 links, something I didn't do when I played this a year or two ago. I felt it was necessary as you get 4 or 5 separate formations as the Germans and they can't all deploy close to each other so it required some HQ's and platoon leaders to act as liaisons, but it was well worth it. Once the spotting information got disseminated to the StuG brigade and the Jagdpanzers, we could edge forward and engage the various Sherman positions one at time. Still got 59 minutes left, gotta get the infantry moving into the town now...
  5. A selection of snow-covered flavor objects for CM:FB. Includes: Petrol Pump, Post Box, Barrels, Water Pumps, Wood Piles, Tires, Some Sacks (from Santa!), Fuel Drums. I was able to duplicate models for barrels and drums, but use a different texture if they are sideways or upright. This way they look nice with snow added, but it means I had to include the non-snow versions of these too otherwise it all gets messed up. They may work OK in other titles too but I haven't tested them there. Download link: Mediafire Might also have a dig around in my folders and scrape together a few other bits and bobs I've made for the other CM titles.
  6. Oh yeah, it was fixed in the 2.11 brz, sorry, ignore that then.
  7. Fix for Red Thunder: 85mm 52k-AA firing from base instead of muzzle. No model edit, just a name change inside of the mdr. 85mm-52k.zip
  8. I spotted another bug, probably been reported but just in case... German Pioneers lose their ability to mark mines on loading a save game. CMFB (2.03). In Final Blitzkrieg, several German armored formations have support companies that consist of single teams of pioneers and transport. e.g When you play with these units, they start off with the pioneer icon and have the ability to mark mines. As you would expect. On first save: But.... if you save and load the game you get this... After Save and Load: It appears the save game is read differently to the scenario file. Note the Pioneers are also a HQ, however before saving they have the pioneer ability to mark mines. On load the game seems to see them only as a HQ unit. They can still BLAST due to charges which remain in inventory but "Mark Mines" is lost. In other Pioneer formations where squad leaders command separate pioneer squads, the leader can also not clear mines. I have a feeling this will be present in other WWII games, but I'm not part of the beta team, and I don't have them all installed at the moment so I'll leave that to them.
  9. CMFB Flak36-37mm will slew its gun barrel sideways instead of elevating it when engaging aircraft. May also be present in some other titles, but Red Thunder has a model with the correct animations if anyone wants to swap out the models to get rid of this bug. Seeing as the last patch for CMFB was over 2 years ago it might be quicker to fix it yourselves.
  10. Are you patched to Cold War 1.06? The latest patch fixed a save game issue where you couldn't save over another save game. If that is the issue you have there should be some .tmp files in your Cold War save folder, these could be your missing saves... (you can rename them to .bts and recover them). If you are patched up to 1.06 then it's another issue I know nothing about sorry.
  11. If there is a low detail model that has an issue, you can overwrite it with a higher detail model. I do this frequently. example: T-80A Extract t80.mdr from the archives. Make two copies of the highest detail model and rename it with t80-lod-2.mdr, t80-lod-4.mdr and drop these into your z folder (other models may need 4 LODs replacing). This will stop the low LOD models being used so you get higher detail, but the downside is the engine and OpenGL stuff now has to cope with the load of more high detail models. In most CM games I do it for specific vehicles that have some weird LOD issue but I have also done this "en mass" (so I use high detail for all LODs except LOD-4) for CMFB and the slowdown isn't too bad though. Also the option function to switch model detail has less effect as you are generally overriding it with vehicles and they are some of the biggest, most detailed model files (though still generally less than or approx 1 MB). A few other things to note... Some LODs get lighting glitches, this seems to be temporary and it might be a different vehicle affected next time you load in, but they appear either lighter or darker than everything else. No idea why, quirk of the engine. It can happen even if you replace low LODs with the HD model. In very big maps with lots of units the detail option seems to be dynamically altered and downgraded to improve performance. You can see this in trees and vehicles etc - on busy maps the lower LODs are seen at closer zooms than they would on less busy maps. This can be very apparent with vehicles so gear on the vehicle might disappear as you zoom in and out (some LODs don't have the same gear as the HD model because the options on the HD model are chosen randomly from a set of gear options - the low LODs dont know what options were chosen or they don't have them at all. So this info isn't transferred between LODs by the looks of things). You can also turn your 3D model quality to "best" in the options menu, but it will affect everything and slow performance and it won't prevent problem LODs being used, they are just used less. Also good spot on the M60 wheels, nice fix koh
  12. How can people can talk about that incident and fail to mention that perfidy is also a war crime? The BBC did exactly that a few days ago, parroting many Kremlin talking points but absolutely no mention of deception.
  13. I'm super interested in this... the animation data is definitely there but I have never been able to read it. However I did fix an animation issue with the Bradley TOW box once by completely copying and replacing the tow box data block in a hex editor with the cavalry model TOW box. This means the data is there. The meta data is unintelligible to me though.
  14. Oh cool, I always thought H.I Sutton was american for some reason. I learnt of him via sub brief, and checked his twitter when stuff is going is down... Didn't know he even had a YT channel... duh me!...
  15. the tempfiles with the .tmp suffixes are the saves that failed to write over the save. you can rename these and give them the .bts suffix to load them.
  16. The T-90 in Shock Force 2 is ok. Is it bugged in CM:PE? I wonder if they fixed it for their "special customers" as it wouldn't be much good if you're simulating the T-90 with paper armor for the armies of the world.
  17. Nice! Will you share the number-mod? Not sure, kinda complicated. I've modded the models to remove the snorkels, I've redone the color a bit, made a few other changes and then put the numbers on. I can give you what I have - which might look out of place if all the other vehicles are default colors, or I can put the numbers on the default skins or some combination. What would you prefer?
  18. Yeah clearly before dawn https://euromaidanpress.com/2022/10/08/powerful-explosion-at-kerch-bridge-connecting-occupied-crimea-with-russia-media/ has some pics from different angles including one that shows two fires some distance apart. Says Kerch telegram channels reported explosion at 6:29 local time.
  19. A brilliant operation. Like the Moskva, and Saki airfield. There is going to be some serious blowback though. Putin doesn’t like losing. He could use this to justify a series of new infrastructure attacks. On one of the discord OSINT, they are posting pics of big queues already starting to form at gas stations in crimea.
  20. Just speculating but the photos don’t show much evidence of a missile strike, I’d expect rubble and stuff on the spans that are still standing and holes or craters or completely shattered spans in the water, but they look like they just fell in. I think I have to go with a massive fuel explosion and shockwave. also the train may burn for many hours with more explosions possible, with the road bridge damaged emergency services are going to struggle a bit. Wow. What a disaster for Russia and their logistics. Still infrastructure targets are part of their hybrid war and we had Nord Stream blown up last week.
  21. OMG, there is going to be panic in Crimea. They freaked when that airfield got hit.
