It is not just animation. I can see that the 50 cal gunner reloads every 100 rounds. That is how many rounds there are in a box

I am often seeing that a gunner or soldier has to reload his gun/machinegun after having fired only a few and even just one shot. This comes after a pause in the fighting where I would normally check my ammo and reload if I was close to empty. Therefore I often see an enemy running past a soldier/gunner in position who isn't able to fire because he has to reload. Is there a way to avoid this?
