  1. So Black Sea for modern era, and what's everybody thinking the best is for WW2 era?
  2. Well put Mord. Great stuff. I think I love that when I was a little kid I was obsessed with creating large scale battles and immersing myself with my plastic army men. Now CM gives me the ability to do that as an adult, and still be as involved and excited as I was all those years ago. I'm still reading the Band of Brothers book so I'll have to get into a market garden mission when I get to that part of the book soon!
  3. What order did all the CM games release in? Obviously CMFB is the most recent, was Black Sea the first game? Might be a dumb question but I'm asking anyway as I can't seem to find the answer
  4. andddd now I'll have to buy CMFI as well.
  5. Thanks man! I started out on Sudden Strike in 2000, moved to Company of Heroes, Graviteam Tactics, as many RTS games as I could play in between. Combat Mission definitely has grown on me as my favorite series from what I've played so far. Pretty much unmatched if you have the patience for it, which a lot of people sometimes don't have.
  6. I didn't recognize any of the camo on the vehicles, looked pretty cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for more news. My next couple months are going to be spent really diving into Final Blitzkrieg, took me long enough to finally pick it up.
  7. Hey guys, I currently own Combat Mission Normandy, Final Blitzkrieg, and Shock Force. I'm just wondering what your favorite game is? I haven't played Blitzkrieg yet, just installed it yesterday. But I loved Normandy and Shock Force. Did Fortress Italy release after Battle for Normandy? And if you were to pick only one CM game to play for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
  8. Going to post this in the general discussion form, sorry if I put it in the wrong place. I'm not sure how to delete the post, new to the forums

  10. I think you're right because I was playing Graviteam not too long ago. I could have sworn there was a way to see their target area in CM but I must be mistaken. I appreciate the reply!
  11. Hey guys, I just reinstalled Combat Mission: Normandy after I hadn't played in a long time. Just wondering what key I press to see my unit's field of vision. I've looked through the manual and couldn't find it. I thought there was a way to see everything your unit can see, where everything visible is in green and everything that isn't is in red. If anybody knows and can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
  12. Do I need to go somewhere to download the mods for the game?
  13. Thanks for the tips man! Slowly but surely I'll get better
  14. Thanks for the tips, Is there somewhere I can see a legend for the different units? I know what the majority of the symbols over each unit mean, but would love to see something that explains each unit's specialty ect. Also, when you have a commanding unit equipped with binoculars, I click the binoculars and it doesn't do anything. Do these units automatically use them?
  15. Yeah, the only thing I really have alot of trouble with is discovering enemy positions while maneuvering. Seems like I get shot at without any idea of the location of the enemy forces most of the time and suffer casualties before I'm able to engage. So I'm trying to do more with properly using the terrain and locating the enemy before being engaged from a distance. Reminds me of being a kid and playing with toy military figurines, only now it resembles a game of chess. Great game so far I can already foresee putting a ton of hours in.
  16. Thanks for all the replies guys, I ended up purchasing the game Saturday night and played it quite a bit between Saturday and Sunday. It definitely has a ton of content for the money and I am happy with the purchase thus far. Just have to figure out how to get better at the game now!
  17. So with the WeGo is that something you can change from real time to turn based in game? Like you can open a menu and change over from real time to turn based? Also, is the multiplayer a player vs player style with predetermined unit sets? Thanks for the replies!
  18. Hello, I purchased Combat Mission: Shock Force and am looking to buy Battle for Normandy but have a few questions. I haven't seen anywhere to purchase the game besides on the website itself, where it is listed at no less than $90.00. Can anyone explain to me what the game entails for that amount of money? Is it just the basic version of the game or are there added items with that package? Also, I am used to playing games like Company of Heroes and Sudden Strike, but am looking for a new true RTS. What are your thoughts on this game and its features? Thanks in advance
