Wooow! That was a really unexpected surprise. I feel now that the last year empty of releases worthed (... and we are still on February).

Pre-orders for Fire and Rubble are now open!!
Jumpete replied to BFCElvis's topic in Combat Mission Red Thunder
+1. I feel that there isn't some stuff in the TO&E which should be in the module. I want to believe that it may be caused by a oblivion or mistake, this happened in some previous modules. I believe that a release of module manual would resolve certain doubts. -

Thanks for the answer Steve. A final question: Do you have plans for release a demo with the base game + new module? -

If the new module works as a patch, is it meaning that we'll find some of the new stuff in the base game? (I'm thinking in lend-lease Shermans fighting in Op. Bagration) -

Totally agree with you. An update of BN with the addition of Stug IV and Brümbar would be welcome. Every time I see the TO&E I have new doubts. I hope that Battlefront recovery the old habit to upload at forum the module manual days before the final release. So we can enjoy all the small details and clarify doubts. P.D. Will Red Thunder and the new module be launched on Steam along this year ? -

Talking about TO&E Steve, what about Tiger II (Porsche turret)? The few survivors of Normandy were send to eastern Front and at least 1 or 2 were involved in the Lake Balaton Offensive. About Jagdpanther, only early model (as CW module and FB)? Or will we see the late version also? And finally my last inquiry, not answered a few pages ago: what about Pz IV J (latest production)? It is not in the initial TO&E and is a model which I miss since FB base game. -

Maybe you're right, but it has not sense since mostly of the models in game have several versions only because BF wants to be historically accurate. This fact is so important for the company, that Steve is thinking to add Jagdtigers because he has some evidences of a few of them (1-2) figthing on the Eastern Front. If si, why forget a tank version which saw combat in several hundreds? -

I'm referring to the latest production (Jan'45-May'45) characterized by: - It has 3 return rollers (instead that the typical 4 of Pz IV). - The replaced of schurzen by wire-mesh panels. - The addition of two flame-suppressing mufflers in the exhaust system, as you can observe on the JgPz IV/70(V) (late) of FB. -

Glad to hear that F&R is in pre-order. Only a 'but', looking the TO&E I can se that Pz IV J latest is not there. Is a bit disappointment for me since I was waiting to have it in FB or at least in this module. -
Great news, thanks Steve! It looks like that F&R is finally at the gates. Nice screenshots, we can see that the bug with the SU100 commander's hatch (showed time ago) is solved. By the way, now that we are talking about unifoms options and combinations, will the waffen troops use the winter parka together the traditional winter uniform used in other CM tittles? Will we see panzergrenadiers units with M-43 and M-44 uniforms in the same squad? And finally, I remember that somebody ot the team said in the forum that Fire and Rumble is coming with the german forces recovering old pz III versions. Any screenshots about those "old-new toys"?

We're near mid November. Based on BF release time frames, if in the next few days we haven't a F&R pre-order, I have serious doubts that the module will be released in 2020. The best, as always, the communication policy of BF.
-
Well, if January 7th is finally the release date, I assume that we'll can preorder around first days of November, right?
-
That sound great! Chances to see this module (and base game) on steam?
-
Based on your words, I can imagine that the pre order release is not far. PD. Nice toy!
-
Totally agree!. After several screenshots and test on the game (BFCElvis vs Ithikial_AU) I believe that exists enough info about the status of the development for sharing it with the community.

At this rate, I'd bet for next northern hemisphere winter (I hope I am wrong ).
-
Good luck Aragorn2002, I asked the same a week ago. I'm still waiting the answer.
-
C'mon guys we're losing momentum, BFCElvis was near to leave his position. More seriously, one month ago the work was around 90% (based on BFCElvis words). How is it today? He told that with the work done in 95% the release should be quickly.

New Module coming For Blitzkrieg
Jumpete replied to user1000's topic in Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
I wish that the release won't take too much time, once time that BF decides start the project. Think that mostly of the german stuff and buildings are finished in F&R module. The british, canadians and americans vehicles won't be so different to Normandy scenary and the newest toys can be imported from RtV. IMO, adding a few tanks (thinking in Persings tanks, LVT, etc) and a little touch-up of the TO&E's mostly of the work will be the missions design. Now the main question is if after Fire &Rumble next one will be FB module or the developers team will move to another games. We must wait until next Steve's bone for know it. -
Don't worry 3j2m7 , your post hasn't aggrieved me at any time. I think that time for joking (without insults or personnal attacks) always is welcome. PD: I hope that BFCElvis doesn't believe that this exemp him from answer me. (My spring offensive continues ;D)
-
And... in June or July? Is there any possibility? (At least for pre-order inside that timeframe).
-
More new screenshots great! I'm imagining the possibilities of amphibious vehicles in a future FB module... What about LVT Buffalo crossing the Rhine? Mmmm delicious! Going back with the thread, in which TOE will we find the schimmwagen?
-
Stug IV or Guderian's duck? Difficult choice!. I asume that this module will be a festival of tank hunters: elephant, jagdpanther early/late, stug III & IV, jagdpanzer IV (A/V) jagdtiger (asking me if we'll see the porsche version), ... It sounds interesting. The opposite face should be a smaller number of tanks in armored units (for german side, of course). At least I hope to see finally the lastest version pf Pz IV J with only three return rollers by side and double flame-suppressing mufflers.
