  1. Looks like Skorzeny strikes again... I will add that I have also encountered similar problems with mines. I'll try and get some save data.
  2. Does the randomized option for the O&E screen ignore limitations based on year/availability? I've received units such as the 75mm 251 HT in early 144 when it doesn't appear in any formations (as far as I can tell that is).
  3. First off, goddamn, that's 2spooky. The manual is a welcome present, I'll be sure to look through it soon. I'm also looking forward to the FI additions!
  4. At the risk of sounding too blunt, I really don't see what the problem is? I mean, I certainly don't buy every game that is released, from any company, unless it interests me and CM being the simulation type game that it is, I would assume that most purchases hinge on which front a release represents. So I don't see what the huge tragedy is if you don't feel like the game is worth it. I generally would not feel the need to announce what items I don't intend on purchasing, but I could be the minority. At the end of the day, everyone has to decide if they think something is interesting enough to buy, it doesn't seem like something worth getting so worked up about.
  5. I would assume that the flash is a factor as to why a unit is spotted faster, it simply takes a while after the flash occurs for the unit to be located. A muzzle flash lasts a fraction of time meaning that it would probably be difficult to instantly pinpoint the source at longer distances or during midday.
  6. "Victory Was Beyond Their Grasp: With the 272nd Volks-Grenadier Division from the Huertgen Forest to the Heart of the Reich" by Douglas Nash is pretty damn good in my opinion. It gives a really good overview of how German forces were organized and operated. It's certainly a book that I'd recommend. "First to the Rhine: The 6th Army Group in World War II" by Harry Yeide is good as well, although I personally prefer Nash's writing style. Also, Hugh M. Cole's book on the Bulge is extremely detailed if you don't mind a bit of a more dry approach.
