After finishing mods for the British (by then the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will be resolved, the war in Ukraine over and the Mediterranean Sea will have disappeared under the African tectonic plate rising towards Europe, putting an end to the tragedy of the Syrian and African boat people), I'll do the same for some Russian and German tanks that don't have winter camouflage.

This whole discussion is confusing to me.  I thought we were in a war where UKR has to overcome WW1 style dug in cannon fodder backed up by ATGMs, arty, IFVs and tanks.  Yeah, RU has drones, but the actual fight to regain territory is not all that high tech.  UKR needs to suppress and overrun fortified positions.  Lots of positions maybe would be abandoned once outflanked, but UKR still needs to actually fight to gain lots of them.  And for that they need enough Mobile Protected Firepower to locally overwhelm the enemy.  Hence UKR has been screaming for months for more tanks & IFVs.  UKR will lose lots of AFVs in these fights, so needs lots to start out with.  
Drones, ISR, etc, are super critical to gaining the advantage but sooner or later someone actually has to take positions against armed opposition.  

I've had the "privilege" of speaking to those who support Putin and believe that Putin will "Win" this war on other parts of the internet.
Basically these days they are mostly hoping that mobilization will save Putin's invasion and claiming that if Ukraine is not able to take back the territory which Russia annexed, Putin won the war.

They all bolted pretty damn quick after 24 Feb as their entire Russian narratives fell apart.  It would be interesting to hear their twisted view of things, but that would just descend into nonsense pretty quick.  Of course some of them could be pushing sunflowers by now for all we know.

Yup, I referred to US meddling into EU. Which in itself would most probably would not exist in current form without significant American help, even guidance in many fields, including very fruitful and often tytanic dyplomatic effort.
Of course, it was also about using cheap labour, rising markets etc. in the Western countries interests, which many of them benefits for this day. You really think all these states agreed to extend Union because of altruism? It was mutually-beneficial economical agreement. One can walk a random street in any major CEE city and look at names of brands, banks, private companies, media etc. 30-70% are German or other western capital. And this is just small part of the story- for example some of them have very preferrable tax cuts negotiated long time ago. This long-term investements and huge benefits for our western neighbours and their industry somehow never occur to people commenting that "Central Europeans are money-grabbers on Westerners", looking only narrowly at money flowing through EU institutions.
Yes, unfortunatelly it's true- EU is unfortunatelly shaken from inside by these and sadly current populistic Polish government plays its noninsignificant role here. But they are not Britts, they don't want Polexit, and -contrary to opinion of many disgruntled Westerners- they are not "anti-EU" by any means. Putting problems with juristiction over courts aside, this is just different vision of Union than federalist one; many other countries (Italy, Czechs etc.) also seem to be getting into this direction as well. Nowhere was written that Brussels should extend its competences nor pursue progressivist policies indefinitelly as the current narrative course is, after all. In more and more dangerous international environment, differences between various nations/states also show fundamentally different perception of threats and challanges.

I appreciate the willingness of the IAEA to act like human shields and prevent funny business by Russia at any nuclear plants. A good step towards pushing international oversight of nuclear facilities during hostilities.
 
 

After consulting with @Combatintmanabout my campaign, I have several revisions I am making. I hope to have the bulk of them completed this week. That being said, I have decided to release what was originally going to be the first mission of the campaign as a standalone scenario. You can download it below. It is currently only available for Blue vs AI or (maybe?) head to head, though I will likely add a blue AI plan later. Please give me any feedback you may have so I can make improvements where they are necessary. I highly recommend downloading the Antonov Airport Campaign Mods.brz before playing, as it has dozens of custom flavor objects, unit mods, and even a vehicle mod that are all mod tagged and will be used in the campaign. NATO boots on the ground in any capacity is a non-starter.

Why would you assume that Russian are willing to die in nuclear Armageddon more than me or you? IMO these boundary conditions are the same for everyone. We crossed every "red line" imaginable up to this point, and they didn't even move a finger towards nuclear escalation. Not one bit, except Solovyov's TV madness. Unless they at least set foot on the first step of the nuclear escalation ladder, say make a straightforward threat, back away from test ban treaty or something along these lines I don't see why should the West worry about it more than it does at the moment. Being paralyzed by the bomb merely existing does't make sense.

Also, I don't think that was posted here before. This sounds like an equivalent of perhaps 2 or 3 US heavy brigades? Surely some will be just dislocated in PL ant Lithuania, but I'm pretty sure a considerable number will be used to first train, and then equip new UA units during the upcoming year. Uncle Sam is not messing around, that's half of what, according to the estimations I posted, RU could potentially put in line during this year, and it's not even half of January.

Yes, and perhaps the French in the Colmar pocket or the Canadians in the Scheldt.

Here's an Assault Sherman ("Jumbo") that I knocked out with a Panther at 260m range.
As you see, nearly all shots bounced off the thick armour, but to my surprise, I got a penetration next to the barrel.

 
Since I assume this is a solid block of metal, I don't see how the shot would go through at this particular point.
Searching for some info online, I came across this pic of an Assault Sherman that was hit in this exact spot. This time by an 88. The shot didn't go through.

 
I know of course that whether a shot penetrates depends on a lot of variables, so I'm not saying this is definitive proof that the game got it wrong.
What I am saying is that this pic shows the cylinder around the gun barrel seems to be a very thick solid block of steel and not a weak point. (The actual shot that killed the Jumbo in this photo was one that hit the gunner's periscope, marked "9").
After playing the game for nearly 10 years, I've noticed many cases of tanks getting knocked out by hits on their 'weapon mount', and this is just one example.
So I'm saying it's possible this is a part of the tank armour that is somehow undermodelled by the game.

The next Mission is ready for playtesting. 
The Test-Version is named „Harasimovicze Close Combat Day“.
You command mixed forces of Division“Totenkopf“and ad hoc units, defending the „Marder“Line in July 44.
This is one of the huge missions during the campaign, but I put value to a reasonable playability, because I hate gigantic battles where players need endless time for every single turn….
So, don‘t be put off by the size of the map (2x3km).
