  1. A few of those systems that shoot down mortar rounds would be pretty cool. Like an APS system for a whole OP.
  2. My friends have been watching me stream CMBS using steam's streaming overlay. At least one bought it and a few others are thinking if it while playing the crap out of the demos. The only mentions of the appearance has been the infantry animations ei, "They are wearing standard issue roller blades". I am a bit of a graphics hound and I although better graphics would be awesome id hope they wouldn't be at the expense of the game play. Id much rather hear "The graphics kind of suck" than "the game kind of sucks".
  3. Javelins are likely as common as machine guns were in WWI and look how much they shifted warfare.
  4. For what its worth, the styker is a derivative of the LAV III which in turn is based on a Swiss 8x8.
  5. Id agree that the gtx 680 is still a steal if you can get it on ebay. I have had one for a few years and only recently ran into games that I could not pump to max settings. If however you have a bit more cash I would also recommend the gtx 970. Just keep in mind both of these cards are fairly long. For what it's worth, I have personally only ever had driver issues with ATI cards. I used to buy the best card available, but now I choose the best nvidia card as a rule and recommend nvidia solutions to my friends. Given that ATI tend to have issues with OpenGL and that CM is based upon OpenGL I would suggest staying away from ATI if you are going to purchase a new card.
  6. Yeah, sorry for the upload site, it was a quick and dirty solution that requires no registration. When I get a chance ill find a better host.
  7. File - http://www.filedropper.com/objectivespringfield Any feedback would be great. I haven't made a mission since back in my CMBB days. Having had a enormous amount of fun with the first US campaign mission I wanted to create something similar yet more brutal. In this a reduced US armored infantry company attacks an enemy occupied town. This mission is only playable as Blue VS AI at the moment. Additionally, flavor object are limited at the moment until the mission is more refined. I will spend the time on those once I am happy with the way in which the mission plays. Also I am missing the briefing maps which will be added in the release version. Warining: This mission is intentionally brutal. The Briefing: Situation With the Russians advancing on Kiev the situation looks bleak. After a fortnight of fighting the beleaguered Ukrainian forces have been swept aside like so many leaves. Russian units have paused for the moment while their supply trains make up lost ground. They have begun to slowly occupy various towns and hamlets outside of Kiev. All of this before the inevitable assault on the city itself. The recent arrival of American assets presents the only hope for a sovereign Ukraine. Their hasty deployment through Poland and dash across western Ukraine has had a measureable effect on the moral of the local population. In an effort to stem the tide, the American offensive will commence with all due haste. Mission Brigade Combat Team Romeo is to deploy to the west of Kiev and sweep it suburbs of Russian resistance. Your effective command of Bravo Company in this task is but another cog in the wheel. Secure the bridge on MSR Delta and sweep the town located around Objective Springfield of all resistance. Local intelligence suggests a collection of warehouses to the west of MSR Delta containing stockpiles of ammunition that may prove useful to the Russians. It would be prudent to secure that location on our push forward. Friendly Forces Battalion recon elements have advanced to the town immediately before the bridge. They will be attached to your command for this mission. Our JTAC team claims that we will receive air support today. Additionally 1st and 2nd Platoon have resupplied and are approaching the area of operation from the south. They should be expected within the next 10 minutes. If contact is made you can be assured of some indirect fire support. Enemy Forces Satellite reconnaissance from 36 hours ago shows a single BTR near objective Springfield. We should expect light resistance. Reports from the local resistance claim that there is a battalion of armored infantry somewhere to the north. Our actions may foster a response. Plan Clear Objective Springfield of all resistance. Secure the warehouses before the Russians or their sympathizers have a chance to use that ammunition against us. It has been fairly dry this spring, as such the river is lower than normal and may be traversable. Notes With the lack of recent intelligence it is imperative to exercise caution.
