Alexey K got a reaction from Lee_Vincent in Moscow Victory Day (70 Years) Parade
I completely agree with you. It would be nice if every country abstain from bombing, invading or messing directly or indirectly with other countries.
Because, you know, not only Russians have problems with geography

Alexey K got a reaction from Apocal in Tank gun horizontal stabilization
Playing CMBS I've noticed that when tank turns main turrent always stays fixed relative to it's hull, thus losing LOS to target. This looks weird as there is any number of videos with tanks maneuring and their guns staying sticked on target regardless of hull movement.
Something like this: https://youtu.be/jh4F3J9-9sA?t=21
But in game tanks seem to lack automatic horizontal stabilization at all.
P.S. Since I've played only Russian side, I've oberved this behaviour for T-72 and T-90 series. I have no idea how it works for Abrams.

Alexey K reacted to womble in Tank gun horizontal stabilization
It's always been like this in the CMx2 titles. It's been noted and remarked upon many times on these forums. I don't recall the issue ever being addressed by BFC-core. Maybe it's an engine limitation that turret elements cannot counterrotate against the hull rotation, maybe it's just not reached the top of the "refine this feature" list yet (I'd hazzard it's the latter, since wheels can rotate independently of the hull...), but thanks for reminding of another thing that could do with a look at some point. Lots of people have lost tanks that might otherwise have survived to this weakness in the simulation.

Alexey K got a reaction from agusto in Armata soon to be in service.
Backwards facing turret is quite usual for transportaion of tanks. What surprises me a lot is overall height of tank. Unless there is some suprestructure to conceal actual form of turret, tank is suspiciously too high. I expected unmanned turret to reduce height of tank.

Alexey K got a reaction from Stagler in AI tends to attack the same position (at all cost) over and over again.
Actually, there is no AI per se above TacAI level. Everything written in AI plan is linear actions sequence and have zero adaptability.
Real AI woud be generatin it's own AI plans during the game as situation changes.\
It would be difficult to deliver good AI for this game though.

Alexey K got a reaction from Apocal in HMMWV vs BRDM
Actually, I've got reverse effect: my BRDMs are proved to be suspiciously resistant to 12.7 MG fire. I've got several "turret front penetrations" whithout any fatal damage or crew injuries.
EDIT: Actually, there is explanation. I've just discovered that BRDM-2M uses unmanned turret "BPU-1"

Alexey K got a reaction from agusto in Is it possible to do a CPU vs CPU battle?
There is no dynamic AI in this game, CPU vs. CPU has no meaning at all.

Alexey K got a reaction from kuri in Role of the Baltic States
For you it might be unlikely, for Russians it is not. Military campaigns in Yugoslavia, Iraq 2.0, Afghanistan and Libya are viewed in Russia as unlawful military agression by US and/or NATO against weaker independent countries. These wars have actually reinforced traditional Russian fears of foreign agression. If they can invade Iraq, what can stop them from invading Russia apart from it's military power and WMD deterrent?
