I think rules got tightened due to Aid workers straying into enemy territory, and ending up murdered, two were lost on my 2nd tour, but that's because their driver tried a detour. Luckily we had good Ukrainians with us, though did not stop the Orcs from trying to shell us, even though it was obvious we were not military.

Its quite interesting how things have changed in the Ukraine Aid wise over the year. I did two tours so to speak, operating out of Poland and delivering Aid and taking Refugees back last year. Fairly easy except for the shelling and firefights lol. Tried to go out this year and whilst i call last year the wild west year, they are more structured. Finding it hard to even get on a Aid unit now, and was going to join my friend in Kiev, but become more expensive. Plus at 65 my wife says i am a bit to old. I remind her my friends 63 and carries a AK without any problem. Plus i do miss Ukrainian food.

We had Charlie Gs in our Assault Troops, in Medium Recce Regiments, though initially on Saracens till late 70s then on Spartans when one Squadron went onto Scimitars. Seems when the Scimitars arrived so did Sultans and Spartans.

Been out there twice now, as a civilian aid worker, different this last time, aid convoy was shelled, no one hurt, but the signs that the Russians are shelling villages etc for fun very obvious, more widespread firing. Watched a massive firefight (from safety of a cellar) lots of night time artillery. Things more tense. Last time I am going, as my missus says at 64 I am to old, hey in my head I'm still a 21 year old soldier. Sadly i see peace has more chance of platting fog than stopping this war at the moment.

I have spent just over a week in Medyka and in the Ukraine, with an Aid Agency, been back a few weeks now. Besides the crossing being busy, but well organised id say, where we went to deliver aid/pick up refugees, the one soldier i spoke to, was adamant that they would beat the Russians. Not casual bravado, but a real chest beater. The area we were in had been liberated by the Ukraine Army. If i was a scrap dealer id be heading south Saw a lot of damage, shot down Russian plane, came under Russian shell fire (2-300 metres away) still felt like the countryside was still in 1941 with a homage in places to 2022.

I spent a few years as a guided weapons operator, i am surprised by the number of hits. On the ranges it was great not an obstacle, even for moving targets. Forget that on a real battlefield, trees, wires, telephone boxes etc etc etc.

Play every demo available, they have small scenarios, see what one you like most, then go for that one. Then buy the rest as time and money allow.
