Hmmm, interesting. That is a BRM-1K but according to everything I have read they don't even carry ATGMs, only a 7.62 coax and 20 rounds total of HE and HEAT.

Beat box of course!

Very nice write up. I hope it gets some new people to try the demo.
I think pixel rappen is the latest thing in hip hop!

Red Star/White Star! That brings back memories. I loved playing modern era even back then when that was released by SPI. I loved the Mech War 2 series, Firefight, Nato, the Modern Quad battles. Great stuff.
But Black Sea is the bomb. No counters to knock around or lose, no cat deciding that the inter-german border is a good place for a nap.

LOL, play Black Sea, and you have to very rapidly accept the mindset that vehicles will fireball Pretty Damn Quick, and often with no visuals (or even idea) on the enemy unit (and if you are really unlucky, no idea even of the ordnance involved!!!). Otherwise a/. your head will end up in the monitor or b/. the monitor will end up wrapped around your head.....
After that, the plinking and brew-ups in the WW2 titles are quite mild in comparison!
Welcome aboard Banjohero.
Anyone who has seen a BMP-3 explode in Black Sea knows what gnarly is talking about!

Thank you for another wonderful piece of work. I recently became an Juju UI addict and now a WWII game seems incomplete without your UI.
-
It's the same situation as using MG ammo bearers in the WWII games. As long as the MG team and the ammo bearer team are within a certain distance of each other the ammo bearer team will resupply the MG team. In this case the Bradley, BMP, Etc is the ammo bearer team.
I like taking an extra belt of MG ammo and all the RPG grenades I can when I am playing UKR or Russian. You never know when the extra ammo will come in handy.

All I can say is WOW!!!

These look great! Thank you very much.

Excellent! Thank you very much.for all your hard work.

US Camel Corps 1855-1866. Most were sold at auctions and the confederates captured 80 at Camp Verde, TX. When Verde was retaken it was reported that there were about 100 camels there.
The last sighting in Texas was 1875 in the Camp Verde area. One was reportedly sighted in Arizona in 1891.
It is sometimes amazing the useless trivia one remembers...

Played the first scenario of Courage Conquers campaign. Without giving anything away, gotta say I loved that little surprise halfway through the scenario!!
Great campaign. I was lucky and had two shermans in a good location so jerry got surprised and not me

If you notice tanks slew their turret towards the target arc but assault guns like the stug have no turret and have only a limited traverse, so in order to orient themselves towards the target arc the entire vehicle must turn.

Please beware that the game does not was not designed to reflect the the current and near-past situation but is a simulation of near-future conflict. That being said you certainly do red on red or blue on blue quick battles. I think the demo has one infantry on infantry urban battle. If it is the one I am thinking of it is a lot of fun!
According to BFC the next expansion will feature US Marines, Redfor VDV and probably more US, Russian and UKR forces. I am voting for the Polish army to make an appearance. Interesting mix of western and russian equipment.

Thank you Ian! Another great job!. I discovered your tactical icon mods while looking for something more modern for CMBS.
Since then your period icons have become my standard for CMBN, CMFI and now CMFB.

Sweet!!!
About an hour to download and installing now. I knew I had to get this after playing "December Morning" on the demo.

I tried every AFV in the game and the Oplot is the only one this happens to. I set up a QB and timed one Oplot for 15 minutes with Rotating Commander before I went on to test Russian AFVs.
-
i never noticed that before. All three crew members are spotting before the first the first shot is fired but once the first round leaves the barrel (even MG fire) the commander is constant "rotating" mode. More testing and we may have a "Bug" report to file

Yes, Vein's Special Effects Mod work with CMBS as well as all the WWII games.
Juju didn't make a UI mod for Black Sea but you should check out Steppenwulf's Ui mod for CMBS.

The problem is that in a real war, the air force wouldn't be able to provide a 100% cover for the land units all the time. A Gulf War I situation would be highly unlikely. During the Cold War the US AD was weak in comparison to the Soviets but now it's practically non existent, due to the cuts and structural changes. Obviously AD wasn't that important fighting the insurgents in Iraq or Afghanistan. US military brass recognizes the problem and for the moment is even looking to use the AA assets of the allied armies. There was a talk about a new AD variant of Stryker.
Hi Ivanov,, this has been discussed in other threads by those far more knowledgeable then I. As soon as i find it again i will post the link if you are interested.

No ****storm here. It's a fact that the US relies on its Air Force to deny control of the air thus no need in its doctrine for an extensive fleet of mobile SAM and AAA assets such as the RUSFED fields.

That looks like Kieme's Digital Camo Mod for the Oplot. He also does the Oplot in standard green so you can pick which you want to use.
I highly recommend any of his mods for CMBS

I hope that BMP makes it across the ford! Nice gamble with the Oplots.so far.
I fell your pain on playing UKR forces. i much as i enjoy playing the underdog (and they are No3 in this game) its frustrating trying to spot anything with your infantry at night or in less than perfect visibility. Even an advanced tank like the Oplot seems to have less capable sensors then a T-90. I recently had 3 Oplots in light fog with perfect LOS and target commands on 3 T-90s at the end of one turn. Guess who fired first???
How is the LOS from your bogged Oplot?

Only 2 cigs left? I hope the next guy he buddy aids has a pack on him.
Great post Vic4!
BMP-3M - PROOF of ATGM firing!

Ah ha, I thought I remembered correctly. The main gun is a smoothbore, so the rounds are fin-stabilized. So it was actually firing HE against your troops.
