  1. I just had the exact same problem with the mouse pointer disappearing in Combat Mission (Windows 11). I recently got a new mouse and had turned on pointer trails. As stated above, turning trails off fixed the issue.
  2. Not really a "bug," but the scenario "If it ain't cav..." should probably have the ellipses removed from the file name in an upcoming patch. If you save the game with the ellipses included (as the game tries to do automatically), it won't actually save. If you manually change it to "If it ain't cav_001," for example, the save will occur as expected. Looking forward to more CMCW -- this series entry has been great!
  3. I just came to report this as well. I just checked and it also happens for me in F&R. As a test, I started a new scenario. I looked in the saved game folder and noted the timestamp for the initial saved game file. I went back into the game, plotted some moves, advanced a turn, and then saved again using the same file name. After the game resumed after saving, I checked the file folder. The timestamp was still from the original. As expected, when I closed out the scenario and reloaded, it was the earlier file. I know this is new behavior because saving over the top of previous saved files has been my standard procedure since Shock Force 1. EDIT: Sorry, I now see there was already another thread on this issue.
  4. Very much enjoying Cold War -- great job! One comment so far for designers: for the scenario "Fleeing Altdorf," the briefing text needs some slight clean-up. In addition, I think it should also note that the US player needs to eliminate Soviets, not just get friendly units off the map (*if* I understand the scoring correctly). The scenario text (and title) implies escape is the main objective, and even though I got most of my force away, it counted as a loss because I didn't cause many enemy casualties. I still had fun, but I was very surprised by the outcome!
  5. I know BF is busily grinding away on Rome to Victory, but has there been any news on the ETA of the updated British and Dutch campaigns? Also, a possible bug: I noticed someone has already mentioned that, contrary to the mission briefing, there appear to be no 60mm mortars in the third mission (Flank Attack) of the Semper Fi campaign. Is the briefing in error? I may be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure they were there the first time I played it a few days ago, as I think I was able to start using mortar fire almost immediately. However, on replays they are definitely not there, and you have no indirect fire until the 81mm mortars show up.
