  1. due to the shortcoming of the game engine (lack of a message log system) , sending a lone conscript driver is the only way to project a message on the screen. I can check my save file , but I remember KG Kruger will be at least 30min late than the advised ETA.
  2. CM's AF is way to accurate. Image you are a BAR gunner, now look at a grove that is 200m away from you. Image the sergeant shouting, fire at the woods. I see movement at the left side of the woods. OK , so you are going to shoot left side of the woods, but what is the exactly aiming point? You probably just fire a short burst here and there. Spray the bullets in an area that cover part of the woods. So area fire should have longer reaction time and larger dispersion。 Hopefully in the future we will have a separate command that cover the area fire.
  3. wait for one that will penetrate the low front hull.
  4. I need some test to refresh my memory, but hide command will reduce the verbal communication range.
  5. Is there any place we can download these three PBEM scenarios ?
  6. Ура! Five minutes later, half of the cavalry squadron was cut down by cross-fire.
  7. This is probably about an animation glitch, but it is funny to watch. AP shell is flying a large angle away from the direction of the gun barrel. it's caused by the Aiming. during this process the turning of gun is stopped in the animation, but the game is still probably put the gun's turning into the hit or miss calculation. Video of the two engagements, they are the same Pak40 shooting the two T-34/76 moving at high speed at close range (which has a high bearing rate change.
  8. Hope it is not too late. Is it possible to give rebel force some BRDM-2. would love to see the BRDM-2 in action. And it would be fantastic if a scenario can be create for BRDM-2 only. It would be similar to the mission 2 in which your recon reinforced with Anti-tank weapon take on Loyal force reinforcement. In a BRDM-2 recon mission, a success can increase next missions intel level. And FYI it looks like in CMSF2 the Syrian AT-4C ATGM team and BRDM-2 (AT-5) anti tank vehicle are bugged. They have thermal sights . It's a very weird bug because AT-4A, AT-4B and BMP-1P(AT-4C), BMP-2 don't have this issue. It's just those two weird units have some advance sights that they don't carry in RL.
  9. Looking forward to that. And this is the most important lesson I learned from CMSF 1 Dinas campaign. There is no way I can afford a house to house assault with a single company. To survive this campaign it would be better to keep a mind of bypass. Always check which objective you can grab and which you cannot. Plot a course that reach the objective while avoid the dense build up area. However, we need to identify the buildings those have clear LOF on the maneuver, occupy those buildings or use firepower to suppress/destroy them.
  10. for the BMPs and BTRs , put someone on the commander seat improves the spotting significantly.
  11. Because 120mm Mortar is an organic asset in PzG Battalion, while 81mm mortar is not.
  12. 120mm mortar can kill T-34/85 or a Panther with a direct hit. in CMSF and CMCW it can be used to destroy the ATGM vehicles. Talking from my CMSF2 USMC campaign experience, 81mm mortar can destroy the pillbox with a direct hit.
  13. First rule of Aerial warfare. Divide the wartime claimed kills by 3 (sometime even have to divide it by 7) Also, Russia could develop then filed something similar to ADM-160 MALD decoy missile/drone.
  14. Ahhh, Thanks I would argue with the Dev team this is not correctly modeled.
  15. you have too little samples here. Yes, in CMCW the Bradleys is supposed to be fragile, it cannot resist the 14.5mm AP. But in CMSF2 its defense improved a lot. I have seen my AT-4/9M111 stopped by an ERA block.
  16. Yes, spotting in low visibility scenario can be very tricky. Please note on one hand the low visibility will reduce the LOS range, on the other hand, LOS =/= effective spotting range. a dense fog will reduce the LOS to 1000m, but the enemy tank can still sneak into a 200m range without been spotted. And, here is the most important part. If the enemy tank open fire, the muzzle flash will reveal his position, and he could attract return fire from all your units in 1000m range.
  17. PT, FYI, misidentify other friendly units and fire upon them can still happen during night battle.
  18. I played this once against AI. the result is a draw. Yes, it is hard. The AI mismanaged its T-34/85 fleet but the 57mm Zis-2 and 85mm AA gun caused a lot of damage to my Panzers. I would image this is a pro-soviet scenario in PBEM However, the statistic on the Blitiz shows this is a relatively balance scenario, interesting. CMRT Gates of Warsaw - Combat Mission: Red Thunder - TheBlitz
  19. CITV is a 1990's technology. First installed on M1A2 if my memory is correct.
  20. 75mm/50 degree that is a very thick front face to 75mm/L48. Even Panther will have a difficult to penetrate the front if the SU-100 face in an angle.
  21. Did you experience any weird evade behavior on the small hill at the Soviet right wing? My German full strength infantry squad became heavily suppressed and running away from the woods after a lone surviving soviet bolt action riflemen fired two rounds.
