Sent you a pm. I garden a fair amount. My wife and I have grown some produce for our local farmers market for the last several years. I tried Black Krims this year and unfortunately we lost them to the tomato blight. The only tomatoes we had any real success this year were the Amish Paste, but nothing ever seems to kill them.

After reading your post yesterday I had the same idea about creating a bunch of premade QBs with a simple text file for step 2 and 3 of your system. Would you be interested in swapping a few sample QBs to see if the system works well and creates battles that are fun to play?

I have only ever played the demo to shock force but have all the other three families with all modules. I plan to purchase Black Sea as soon as it is available.

I chose Infantry supported by assault guns and some armoured cars. Only spent 254 rarity points and chose whole formations with only a few adjusts off of typical to spend all my points. Hope this is realistic enough for you.

I have two AT guns in the same platoon, one crew has lost three men and the gun, the other has lost all the men but the leader and the gun still functions. I would like to be able to combine the two crews to effectively serve one gun. Or have the platoon HQ join the active gun with only one crew member.

Is it possible to setup your antivirus program to exclude certain files or folders? On my machine, Norton likes to try and delete the .exe file on install. I had to tell Norton to leave it alone and then I have not had a problem since.

There are two scenarios shipped with the Gustav Line Module: "Lost"- about the Hasty P's and "Winter of our discontent"- a battle around the Moro river outside of Ortona. These are the only Canadian scenarios I know about. There is also a campaign in the respository called "Welcome to Sicily" where you command a mixed force of British and Canadians. For the NZ forces there is one called "Kiwi Soldiers".

I will second the Mark Zuehlke books as a great read. I find he seems to have a very good balance between the higher level decision making and the view from the men on the actual front lines. There are plenty of scenario ideas in each book. The titles, if you are looking for them at your local library or online are: Operation Husky Ortona The Liri Valley The Gothic Line

Your armour seems to be out of harms way a little too much!! Your seem to be able to punch holes in my tanks wherever I send them. This battle has been a lot of fun so far and I am sure curious to see how it is going to end up.

I am playing a pbem at the moment as the Russians and have taken out at least 5 panzer IV's without any losses to my own tanks. The ranges are all 1000 meter plus andI have the T-34/85. Spotting has been pretty decent.

If anyone was wondering why there are no women on this forum, this thread would be a great place to figure out why. I am no longer sure I should be encouraging my daughters to play this game and have them seek out opponents on this forum. I asked a simple question to find out if there were any plans to include women who played a role in the Red army and the amount absolute drivel in the responses has been disappointing. If I had asked this question in the Peng challenge thread I would have expected this. Thanks kipanderson for pointing out they only represented about 3% of the actual Red Army. Given that low percentage I agree the time taken to include women faces into the game should have a low priority.

I am not saying you were one who did but it was ok for people to complain the buttstock texture was missing from some rifles in the commonwealth module but it is wrong to ask for women to be represented in the game?

I am wondering if there are any plans from Battlefront to release some female faces for the Russian forces for Red Thunder? I know women served in multiple branches of the Red Army and am curious to know why they have not been represented in game?

Erwin I was referencing my poor play as to why my tanks are on fire. While CM Red Light District might be a popular module I think I would skip it.... again for the children.

I am the father of 5 daughters all of whom love watching me play CM. We have even had a few games played against each other over the home network. The joy of having multiple activation keys is both the computers in our house can play the same game at the same time all from one purchase. This is impossible with the other popular game they love to play, CIV 5 from Steam. We would need to create a new account and purchase a second copy of the game to play CIV 5 over a home network the same as CM. Thanks for making this possible Battlefront!! However this is the whiners thread so I had better start whining! Since my girls have begun playing with me they have started to ask questions. Why did the war start? Why did Canada join the fight if we lived so far away from the fighting? Did any women fight in the war? Why do all your tanks always seem to be on fire? So we have begun having WW2 history lessons at night. In one of my books they noticed a Russian woman holding a sniper rifle and asked "Where are the female soldiers in Red Thunder"? I had to tell them they were not in the game. When I downloaded the 3.0 upgrade today my oldest noticed the announcement said "Gentlemen time to upgrade your war" and she said to me, "Well I guess us girls get stuck with old version as we don't get to upgrade." At age 12 her sarcasm already sucks. :mad: However this got me thinking. I know my girls are not the only women who play the game as we all know c3k's wife played Bil in the MG AAR. So in honour of all the women who play this game I demand justice!! The way I see it there are only three options available to Battlefront to rectify this grievous insult to women everywhere: 1. Introduce a female face icon for the Russian army in Red Thunder. It should be a simple fix and could be included in the patch the same as the Germany Navy icons were fixed after the release of MG. 2. Introduce live horses to the game. Girls love horses. Need I say more? 3. Introduce CM Schlieffen Plan at the earliest possible moment. My girls need to know what happened in WW I and what better way to teach them than with a Combat Mission game? In every argument there always has to be one person who reminds us all to think of the children. Please Battlefront, think of the children.

Ran the test again two more times and had the same result. One added piece of information the region was set to France and all three times the opposition was randomly selected to be the Kreigsmarine. I have sent two save game files on to Mark.

I just tried this once and while I had friendly units there was no opposition. Everything was automatic including map selection. Map size was random. Running the test again now.

In a CMBN pbem match I have going on right now, I had a broken aa crew being attacked by a squad of Canadians. One of the Canadians was trying to throw a grenade when one of the two men left in my aa crew shot him. The grenade fell at his feet taking out two more men. One those guys was also trying to throw a grenade and his also fell at his feet taking out one more man. So one rifle shot took out 4 of my opponents men and broke his attack.

What if the editor had options for weather changes to be light, moderate or severe and then let engine change the weather based on the currently selectable choices? So if you chose a hot, humid battle fought at 7-9 pm and moderate as the change option, there would be say a 60% chance a thunderstorm would roll in. Or choose severe on an overcast, cold, windy day and snow squalls will blow randomly throughout the battle.
