  2. @BornGinger Thank you To all: Now - next problem - how to make tactical map usefull to the players? As I am not being at graphic wizard. Or should I just go by text, descriping the situation? Your thoughts are highly valued. And BTW does the equivalent of the old "provingground" still exist somewhere. The place you could get you scenario wetted with some kind (mostly) advice?   4. Hi I am in the proces of making my first scenario to CM in this version. I did make scenarios earlier for ASL and the earlier CM-version. I DL'ed the Official-Briefing-Graphics-Templates-CMFI_3 and I am learning Gimp as I go. But I am having trouble with the briefing graphics. In particular with the operations map - the file IS 702x224 PX but it still looks like this. ( see attached) I have tried to make the picture wider - no luck.   5. Thank you Erwin for clearing that up! And Sgt Joch: as I read the manual now I see it says "infantry". And I understand that reloading of heavy ammo IS time-consuming. Also, BTW, taking 7.92 out of belts and putting the cartridges into another carrier (or vice versa) is done but take time, I have done that IRL. Thank you all for answers and a lifely discussion!   7. Situation: (In a RT scenario, but I don't think that is relevant) Immobilized tank with main gun disabled. The tank has used all MG ammo. I get a ammo truck up next to the tank, and dismount the crew, and moves the crew onto the truck to accuire all the 7.92 ammo, and moved the crew back into the tank. The tank, however, still shows that the MG's are out of ammo - but the rounds are on board the tank. As can be seen on the screenshot. How come that the ammo can't be ( is not) used by the MG's on the tank? Thanks in advance for any answers. Best regards Morten Copenhagen

  9. Hi Let me introduce myself: I have been playing wargames since the early 80´s. Avalon Hill games ( and of course a lot of SL and mainly ASL( I even made historical module - when it finaly was printed 20 years later, it did not get great reviews : https://www.desperationmorale.com/products/westerplatte-case-white-1939/ ) After finding CM, that took over gradually - and I have given away all my board games ( I still miss them as reference some times). - Anyways I have a proud record of loosing about 66 to 75 percent of all games in those 40 years - I do tend to roleplay and like my troops to much. But I never will stop learning. I can't promise a turn a day - depends on the work, family and general situation we all are in at the moment. So: 1)I have all CM WW2 games and all updates/DLC's. 2)I play any side - but have played mainly German in CM. 3)I will not play scenarios I have played before - unless specifically agreed. 4) Midsized to large (not huge) games perferred 5) In case of playing a QB I like to keep buying at least within some kind of historical probability. Also I like to know who I am playing so be prepared to hear about me, as I like to hear who my adversary is. At least as some kind of indtroduction.   11. Hi I have received turn XXX005 in a FI PBEM game. Opponent and I have all modules - all updates instaled. I make my turn but the game crashes to desktop when trying to save the XXX006 turn - game crashes during the progress bar.. I did restart the PC, I tried saving without giving any orders, I tried to rename the file name as it contained a Danish letter "ø" - still it crashed. In the same sitting today, I saved just before this one - without problems - an other FI PBEM turn. Any suggestions? Best Regards Morten Copenhagen - Denmark

  15. Thank You C3K I think I found the solution I simply used the mentioned files for each game and all Into menus states that It's running "Game engine 4" so I think all is good. As to your suggestion - Thank you - I have carefully saved all keys on a TXT file placed in a save place in the cloud. Best regards Morten
  16. Hi all I had a PC crash and need to re-install CMBN, CMFI, CMRT and CMFB with all expansions. From the thread above I understand I only need to DL the Upgrade 4 (and all keys) for all games, but when accessing the files under my account I see two Windows Files - I am correct in assuming that both IS needed. Please see screenie attached regarding FI - I Need both the marked - and shall install the " 2 full" first and then the "Upgrade 4"? Thank all in advance. Best regards Morten Lundsteen Denmark

  19. Hi, I just upgraded to engine 4 - and after loading a saves pbem game ( also upgraded) I noticed a panser with the warning "laser warning" ? I would think it a wee bit too early for RT's timeframe? I do not own any of the "modern" CM's, only those set in WW II. As far as I could see, it happened when the panser was hit, with no ill effects. Some kind of glitch? best regards Morten Copenhagen, Denmark.

Hi I'm am making My first scenario to system "cm new engine" It's a remake of a scenario I first made for SL, then again for ASL ( both wellplayed in the club at the time) I made a version to cmbb, fairly reviewed and downloaded) so I thought take that one again to try out the new editor - as practice:-) But when testing I can't get the the atacker ( in this case the russians ) to do more than stand with idle motors at the jump off point. What am I doing wrong - or rarther what have I overlooked? Best regards Morten Lundsteen
