  1. Would Operation Dragoon and operations in Southern France be part of the proposed CMFI module? What about the operations in Germany in '45?
  2. So is there a 4.0 Patch in the works for the other titles? Will tank riders and on-board mortars be patched into CMFI and CMBN?
  3. I think he may be referring to the Aris mega-pack for CMBN. Is there one for CMFI?
  4. I'd be excited to get these, if that's possible.
  5. Oh, thanks! Great work, loving all the great work you've done.
  6. I'm having an issues with BMP-2M. The Turret looks correct from a distance but changes to standard BMP-2 up close.
  7. On the topic of Russian artillery, many weapons systems are not yet implemented. MRLS systems seem to be the biggest oversight, seeing as rocket artillery makes up a significant portion of the Russian artillery park. Having said that, as a fellow Artilleryman (I believe the Russians say Artillerist) I do have some questions - 1) How is the 2B9 82-mm Vasilyek Automatic Mortar used generally? "The 2B9 can be fired as a mortar, using bombs loaded manually from the muzzle, at a high barrel elevation angle, or for automatic direct fire in the manner of a light or anti-tank gun (direct sights are provided) using the breech magazine loading feature." In support of a battalion does that mean it is well forward or held back? 2) Are the 2S9/2S23/2S31 120mm self-propelled gun/mortars used in direct fire roles? Which units have which vehicles? i.e would a BTR Motor Rifle unit have 2S23, BMP 2S31 and only VDV have 2S9?
  8. Is there a viewable Gustav Line manual so I can see Formations and TOE before purchase?
  9. Thank you so much! I'll try that out tonight. I think the systems are really cool, but I have a hard time understanding how that is represented in game. For example, in SF the LAV Coyote did not actually deploy it's Mast Mounted Surveillance System, so it could not be parked in woods or behind terrain as in reality. I imagine the same thing applies here? Scout vehicles have to expose themselves to get a good look?
  10. So position them in front, on the main axis of my advance and use the hunt command? In the radar thread I learned that BRMs should hang back and use their optics and radar, so it would just be BTRs and BRDMs? I only just got the hang of scouts in Red Thunder, but the leap from T-70s and tank-riding scouts to 70 years later was pretty significant. It's also a lot harder to survive the first second of contact with ATGMs than with Paks.
  11. Would EW assets being in the part of the battlespace modeled in CM titles? They seem like high-level assets that wouldn't be in a company-battalion frontage.
  12. Shock Force works wonderfully for Mac since updating to the new OS last night. Red Thunder and Black Sea also running fantastically.
  13. Does anyone have advice on how to use scout formations? The Ukraine Brigade Recce Company has BRDMs, BTRs and BRMs. Supporting a Battalion probe for example, are they supposed to each be conducting their own missions? I've been using the BRMs to back up the dismounted scouts from the BTRs, and keeping the BRDMs on rear/flank security. What is the best use of this formation?
  14. Not sure how relevant this is but... does anyone have advice on how to properly use the BRM-1? I'm hopeless with it, and end up just using the 73mm gun to back up scout squads, which I think is not the intended use of the Brigade Recce Company.
  15. As a former artilleryman, I can't help but glow with pride at 85% of casualties being caused by indirect fires. Two mechanized battalions being pulped by IDF in 3 minutes reads like something from a worst case prediction of a Fulda Gap confrontation. I'd be interested to know how the smaller Russian artillery systems like 2B9 Vasilek, 2S9 Nona (and derivative BTR-based 2S23 Nona-SVK and very advanced 2S31 Vena) have done. They're weapons systems I'd like to see in the future as on-map options for battalion-level fires. Is there a way to model the Russian use of thermobaric and cluster munitions? e: I'd also be curious to see if one-shot thermobaric launchers like RShG-1 are being used in combat as well as the RPO and if so, would they be modeled as being acquirable from transports like RPG-22/26 are? What's not to like about the Vena?
  16. The whole thing. Dutch battalions are a whole lotta fun. Kinda miss those BS QB features! The Dutch QB picklist sure loves engineers!
  17. So does it not work on Windows either? Guess I'll just wait for the Dutch to be in BS. Already in love with Motor Rifle formations, going from Red Thunder really makes me appreciate them.
  18. Does bootcamp count? I'm curious if they issues is Mac Hardware (which nobody can do anything about) or software (who knows?)
  19. I understand, for the most part. It's just frustrating that small and tiny scenarios work, and that the problem is specifically and consistently at 36%. Is there a way to see what is supposed to be loading at that percent and change it? Just so I don't come off as a complainer, I picked up a windows version of the Marines bundle, and even with Parallels, VM Ware, and Wine it runs into the same issue, which I find really interesting. I haven't tried Boot Camp yet, though. I caved and picked up my copy of Black Sea today. I guess I missed BTRs that much.
  20. Still hoping for this. Although for me it was 36%. Red Thunder seems to work well on my Mac though. Hoping the next OSX update doesn't break it, or whatever happened with CMSF.
  21. Is there a way to get a digital copy still? The demo still works on OSX, so I'd pay for the full game!
  22. One last question! (For now ) What is the proper way to use the T-70? They can't shoot unbuttoned, and they can't see when they're able to shoot back. I like the idea of using Cavalry Regiments, but I'm having a rough time.
