  1.  I didn't see analysis of anti-armour applications of Arty like this in school or the battery, even when we got Excalibur we didn't much more on using it on hard targets than "Call KAF to get authorization! Do you know how much those cost?!"

@HerrTom, where would using precision rounds put the frag pattern from an airburst?

Note to @Battlefront.com: Could we see more arty options in a future engine update?

Illum would make the night battles in WW2 much better IMO (IR for modern titles would help too!)

Smoke pots rather than WP would help with screening and make the Rules of Armed Conflict easier to follow in the modern titles (see: PR disaster of WP in Mosul)

Cluster shells may be contentious, especially DPICM, but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them.

finally the ability to adjust burst height, coupled with @HerrTom's frag data could lead to some more control over desired effect on target.

This too makes sense, but for Uncon battles, if the weapon is better than anything they have to hand and they can use it, surely it would make sense.....It would also make players a bit more careful about casualties, something the game should emphasize IMHO.

Russia expended a tremendous effort to airdrop supplies to partisans, as the did Allies in France, Italy and Yugoslavia. The-OSS-Assisting-French-Resistance-In-tcb0724bd0b0b9b336fd960be1f31cbc0--farm-b023a48234ea8ef9251e958988ba63ec8.jpg

  3. That was only directed at parties who think:

    A) NATO would accept the membership of a country with a border dispute / oppresed ethic minority / low intensity war with a Nuclear  power.

B ) Ukraine could fight above-mentioned power for 6 months into the winter (somehow).

    C) If Ukrainian NATO membership was imminant, the other party wouldn't aim for a coup de grace to present NATO with fait accompli.

    D) (miraculous) NATO involvement wouldn't lead to immediate de-escalation.

    E) NATO is going to fight a mass-casualty war with Russia over a peripheral, divided country that the other power obviously considers to be a major national interest.

  4. I can't wait. I'm patriotically running though the Canadian campaign and there's so much I miss from Black Sea! I'm totally perplexed by unit behavior, I'm not seeing when my guys go down, Canadian platoons are inexplicably organized with CO and XO teams, etc etc. Even units movement looks janky!

E: Coyotes that can't use the MMSS or have a hull-down command are frustrating in the extreme!

Oh, now that is freaking outstanding!!  :D

That map opened with no problems....very, very cool...the possibilities are almost limitless for QB junkies like myself....thanks very much!

More CMFI, please....I have a Mac and am not nearly smart enough to make this converter widget work, but will happily sing kudos to all who can.....

I'm working through the Huge QB maps first. Let me know if you run into any problems.

Likely the converted map has something on it that does not exist in the new destination. You might be able to solve it by closely examining the map for possible candidate terrain, buildings or other features and delete and replace them. Can you actually enter the 3D preview in the scenario editor?

It does load up. It even looks pretty great!  The buildings are converted, as best I can tell.  The buildings are converted, as best I can tell.

The map is 024Attk Huge Open 024.btt and I'm trying to take it from CMFI to CMBS. I attached the file.
