I am working on some UI for H&E Mod and need some flags for some screens. Here are some designs that I am tossing around... any votes for what sides they represent?
The two sides are...
- The People's Army of The Free Democratic Republic of Bong-Hai & its People's Militia insurgents (aka "The Roundheads")... they are the Earth component of this narrative & are as similiar to the NVA & VC as we can get them.
- The Imperial Army of the Divine Kingdom of Bong-Hai & its iconic, M16 wielding Imperial Cavalry (aka "The Cavaliers") .. they are the Heaven component of this narrative & represent both the poorer & better performing elements of the ARVN.

One thing/query with these wonderful logo's that @xacto has made... there is a small "tm" on them.
I know absolutely nothing about these legal things... but isn't that something we'll have to remove from the logos?
As far as I can tell the only thing trademarked with this mod would be CMSF2 itself... so does the current logo imply that we own CMSF2?
I have a lot of experience with corporate identities (do this for a living)... The current mark is protected by "Common Law Trademark Rights" so the TM can be used as is. The TM signifies that we claim the name/logo as common law and notifies others of the trademark right.
There is no need to "Register" the trademark (R) unless you want to increase the amount of geographic reach and strengthen your ability to protect the "brand" (unless you want to expand this brand and make a profit in the future ;).

I like the first, camo, version.....It's suitably ambiguous, whereas the second seems to imply the availability of US units.....To me at least.
I'd be interested to know where you found the silhouette, it's a direct copy of an old ESCI 1/72 figure (or vice versa):
Check these out if you are interested! https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Esci-1-72-North-Vietnamese-Vietcong-Vietnam-War-figures-set-229-boxed-on-sprues-/323862974944

Now that I finished the logo, I started working on the design for the Heaven and Earth User Manual [ work in progress ]. Thoughts on which direction I should continue to develop?
Once the cover is set, the inside will reflect the tone and mood of the cover.Cheers,

The only minor thing that keeps me from insta-downloading is that the guys look more like some tacticool Airsoft players than soldiers. However the map background and the color palette looks great, very professional.
Yes, I was going for something with a little attitude. However, funny you say this... I am almost finished with a new theme that shows men running into battle. Stay tuned....

Thanks for the tip...
I did some digging and found Game Extractor that will grab game assets. They have a JAVA version that can be run in the mac terminal. Works like a charm!
Here is a link in case people need this in the future:

Just thought I would look into doing some art skinning...
Where do I find the existing art files? I am on a mac and when I view the package, I only see a few folders/files without any image files. Is there a way to extract them so I have a base to work on?
Thanks for helping this Noob!

Oh... ok.
Are there any MODs that do this?

I noticed that after I completed a scenario and hit "review map" that the combat victories were not showing up for each individual squad. No number of kills (victories) just basic status.
I found this information very valuable and interesting - It was also great when creating custom scenarios/maps. Is there a reason why the mac version does not keep track of this information. Or am I missing something in settings that would show this info after the battle.
Thanks for your help!

On March 2012 it was announced that Shock Force for OSX would be available for pre-order in a week or two. Anyone know what happened?
