  1. "Madyar" posted that UKR troops completely withdrew from Soledar. As far as on 15:30 he showed a video, that UKR still control solt mine #7 complex on western outskirt of town, but on 17:30 he posted this with message Russians seized the complex and now our defense line will be on the hills more west. "Madyar" says there will be long position war on this direction. In that time MoD speaker claimed battle for Soledar is continung Al-Jazeera reportage of UKR troops withdrawing from Soledar. Rare Shilka in cadre
  2. Aftermath of next attack of Russians on Avdiivka
  3. Death toll in Dniprio has raised to 30 (including 15-year girl), 73 wounded, 30-40 still under ruins. On the photo a 23-year girl, sitting on 7th floor, who hide in bathroom during air raid alarm, when the missile hit in their block. Her parents were in the rooms, which collapsed and now they under ruins. Reportedly in September her guy lost at the war
  4. Videos of pro-UKR Chechen battalion after name of Sheikh Mansur, fighting in Opytne southern from Bakhmut Some urban fighting: Also Sheikh Mansur battalion video. Work of sniper pair with a cover. They spotted a group of Russians - spotter tracks result of fire, sniper shots. Claimed they eliminate two Russians. After shots all quiclky change position. Note for CM - it's hard to model such holes in walls, through which sniper can shoot stealthily , so maybe it's has a senese to make walls of damaged buildings "transparent" for snipers? One more video from Bakhmut defense - mortar crews of 241st TD brigade of Kyiv (likely their 205th TD battalion).
  5. Artillerists of 66th mech.brigade shell Russians with 105 mm M101 howitzer. Soldier says their gun was produced in 1942 or 1943, but shoots perfectly. In hotest days they make up to 800 shots. You can see huge pill of ammo, prepared for fuses mounting. Russians called these crews "Polish mortar crews", so one guy jokingly said some words in Polish.
  6. There are rumors that Bradleys will come to new formed 47th assault brigade. This unit recently got Slovenian T-55S, Panthera T6 and they have much more western infantry weapon that Soviet. "Frontman" of this bigade is former airborne and popular blogger Valeriy Markus, who passed ATO in 2014-2016 in 25th airborne brigade and now has a duty of chief master sergeant of brigade. He actively PR it in own FB and twitter, gathering donation via own charity fund. This brigade passed a way from 47th rifle battalion, which fought for Svitlodarsk to current status. Hight Command decided to create new brigade on new principles of tough selection of personnel and gaining most effectiveness. So brigade is training and in current time guarding Belarusian border. So, this brigade should be for Army like Azov in National Guard. But let's see...
  7. Recently unknown attempt of attack on Russian airfield with Tu-141 jet UAV, turned into cruise missile. Video for 24th of Dec shows parts of crashed Tu-141 in Voronezh oblast, Russia, near Buturlinovka town, were military airfield is located - the homebase of 899th assaulr aviation regiment (Su-25) of 105th mixed aviation division. There is unknown either Buturlinovka airfield was a target, or something in depth of Russian territory, but now you can see, that really UKR uses Tu-141 for these long-range strkes. Old Tu-141 likely are taken from storage and even old Soviet signs don't change on UKR, because this UAV now has only one way ticket. It could crash after hooked tops of trees, when flew on extrene low altittude, but could be and shot down too, but Russians didn't report about this as I can recall...
  8. Crater of S-300 or S-400 missile in Kopyliv village, Kyiv oblast, 26 km west from Kyiv. What they thought to hit here?
  9. Of course not only Russian top officers are dying at this war... On 8th of Jan during the battle for Soledar was killed UKR colonel Yuriy Yurchyk, chief of the staff of 10th mobile border guard detachment "Dozor" (this is Border Guard Special Forces). Reportedly he was appointed as a commander of combined Border Guard detachment, which fought for Soledar together with Armed Forces.
  10. Businessman from Dnipro Hennadiy Korban (Zelenskiy has cancelled his Ukrianian citizenship) claimed 25000$ of award for information about names of Tu-22M3 crew, who launched Kh-22 missile and destroyed the house. It's knowingly that the plane belongs to 52nd heavy bomber aviation regiment (Shaikovka airfield) and during mission their leading had callsign 42492 Emergency Service and citizens disassemble ruins Little girl helps to remove trash around ruined building in Dnipro
  11. Are you in Kryvyi Rih now? Here is locals posted the place, close to impact.
  12. Dnipro, aftermath of Kh-22 hit 9-storey house. Estimated number of settlers 100-200 for 70 flats in ruined block. Among them about 50 kids and teens. On the video you can here terrible shouts of peoples under ruins Now already 5 dead, 60 wounded. Unknown number still under ruins. Total 38 cruise and air-surface missiles were launched, 25 were shot down: Kh-101/555/Kalibr - 23 (18 shot down) Kh-22/32 -5 (0) Kh-59 - 10 (7) Additionally in first wave were used 6-8 long-range S-300/S-400 missiles for strike on Kyiv, Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts. No casualties, but about three dozens of cottages were slightly damaged. In result of attack two largest thermal power plants were hit in Ladyzhyn (Vinnytsia oblast) and Burshtyn (L'viv oblast). Latter reportedly halted. These plants are already being struck not the first time. Also some substations were hit in Kyiv oblast. Kharkiv likely was attacked with S-300 too in second wave and partially without electricity. Railway power infrastructure was under attack in Kryvyi Rih in third wave, when mostly Kh-59 were launched from Su-35. Four missiles were intercepted, one hit power infrastructure area, damaging more private cottages. One civilian dead, one wounded.
  13. As I know, prisoners, who were captured, were from different LDPR units, but mostly from rifle regiments of reserve, some were from territorial defense of LPR and some from 7th motor-rifle brigade of LPR and some "cadre" unit of DPR. Most of captured were from LPR 2nd Corps
  14. They are officers, soldiers and sergeants can have other ratio.
  15. I doubt about 9-men squads and SVDs in them. This similar to one variant of pre-war structure. By the way between 2014 and 2022 we had several platoon stricture variants and some of them existed parallel. Last pre-war structure were three 7-men squads + 4 men in Plt HQ. Of course, war-time "shtat" could be extended, but will be more logically to have additionan riflemen or even two with AK, than with SVD, which denand more training and we havn't theese rifles anymore. They are already since 2020 gradually substituting for more modern rifles
  16. Maybe I wrong, but sounds like you read this like describing of situation in UKR regiment, but this about Russians ) One soldier, fighting in Bakhmut trench mud told he prefers old good AK, than AR, because: 1. AR will not survive endless shooting and he hasn't time to clean it all time, when AK can shoot much longer between cleanings. 2. AK is more suitable for maintenance and fast disassembling and more resistive to mud
  17. Some about enemy losses assesments - the photo of April preterm graduation of Donetsk High Officer Command School, DPR 1st Corps, issued by DPR milblogger. There was also other term graduation in July. On the photo we can see 50 officers. In green circles 19 of those who were wounded (and some of them several times), red circles 10 of them, who were killed. PS. Since 2023, both 1st Army Corps of DPR and 2nd Army Corps of LPR are officially included in structure of Russian Army. 1st Corps was awarded by "Guard" name. Recently there were many reports that part of Russian prisoners go not only to PMC Wagner, but also directed to LDPR units. Since LDPR Corpses are now Russian army, its can be officially reinforced by Russian mobilized. Mobilized resource of Donbas is almost exhausted.
  18. @sburke Major Andrey Gribalev, 37th motor-rifle brigade, 36th CAA, Eastern military district. Was kileld on 27th Dec in Kherson oblast in missile strike on HQ of brigade. Major, Rinat Gareyev, artillery of 37th motor-rifle brigade, 36th CAA, Eastern military district. Was kileld on 27th Dec in Kherson oblast in missile strike on HQ of brigade. Was kileld on 27th Dec in Kherson oblast in missile strike on HQ of 37th motor-rifle brigade. Major Mikhail Shkroba, probably communication troops, 37th motor-rifle brigade, 36th CAA, Eastern military district. Was kileld on 27th Dec in Kherson oblast in missile strike. Major (retired) Aleksey Korshak, former aviation engineer of Pacific Fleet. Retired in 2020, but in 2022 enlisted to aviation squadron of PMC Wagner by own speciallity. Was killed on 4th December. Major (old photo in rank of captain) Aleksandr Sysoyev, MLRS unit, was killed not later of 5th of Jan 2023 Lt.colonel Aleksey Bachurin, deputy commander of 1444th motor-rifle regiment, was killed in HIMARS strike on Makiivka, Donetsk oblast of 1st of Jan. I have written recently, but here is 100 % confirmation Lt.colonel Boris Mikheyev, group comamnder of SOF Center "Senezh" of SOF Command. Was killed on 4th August. Major Yuriy Lanin, Rosgvardiya. Data of death unknown Lt.colonel Aleksey Afonin, deputy commander of 234th air-assault regiment of 76th air-assault division, was killed on 1st of Sep
  19. LAUNCHES! AD has engaged first missiles on South. Except Tu-95 also five Kalibr-carrier ships in the Black Sea
  20. LostArmor forum about new-formed Russian motor-rifle regiment - very interesting about combat capabilities, training and supply level: Translation: Imaginations about mobilized. I personally have met today with these people. 1. NNN motor-rifle regiment completely consists of moibilized. 2. Officers also all moibilized. There are no cadre officers at all. 3. They have food a fat lot. They even are supplied with a beer. 4. The regiment has 100 % of personnel 5. They at the very least supplied with personal protective combat clothings. Many "Syrian" body armor in poisonous desert coloration. 6. With clothes and footwear they are supplied too, but they don't get fat with this 7. Main part of personnel are armed with different AK versions of 7.62 caliber 8. Each company got per two thermal sights. Happy owners of thermals have AK-74 in 5.45 caliber, how can you guess. 9. But there are no barckets for mounting thermals on the weapon. You can just watch through them and this is all. 10. The unit, which was substituted by this regiment, set mines all fu...g around, but didn't leave minefield maps for own changers. Though plates "mines!" stick out anywhere. After one liuteneant-idiot lost own foot , all other understood that there are really mines and don't go there anymore. 11. But there are also good news - on these minefields have blown up at least two groups of "khinzirs" /Arabic word "pigs", usual name of Ukrainians on LostArmor, likely have origins from soldiers or merceneries, who served in Syria/ 12. They have "quadrics" (civil drones), but few. 13. Company commanders are in first line with soldiers. 14. Other chiefs, starting from battalion commanders - in the rear. And than bigger bosses, they the further. Regimental HQ in 4 km from frontline. 15. Very big problems with building materials and tools. Already almost have been overcame by different ways. 16. There was a lack of shooting practice on the range. 17. AGS team commander became a man, who shot with them three times. 18. Many weapon weren't zeroed, when they arrived to frontline, but now it's already has fixed. 19. SVD rifles they got in two times more than by "shtat" 20. Group and heavy infantry weapon is a lot, but almost no properly trained crews for it. 21. The artillery is working in interests of regiment and working good. 22. They havn't seen aviation - neother own, nor enemy
  21. Kyiv, Kyiv oblast and Chernihiv oblast were under strike of some unrecognized missiles, launched on a ballistic trajectories from northern direction - either Belarus, or Briansk oblast of Russia. I heard four explosions, reportedly one infrastructure object was hit. One missile struck Kopyliv village and slighly damaged 16 houses. One missile, which impacted in Kyiv, hit the territory of rural architecture skansen "Pyrohiv" in southern part of the city. Fragments of missile enough similar to S-300 family, but it's not confirmed yet. If this turns out a true, this will be first case of S-300 usage on Kyiv. Only missiles 5V55U (150 km), 48N6E (150 km) and 48N6E2 (200 km) , 9M83ME (200 km) can reach Kyiv, being launchded from S-300PM/PMU2/VM systems Reportedly Russian Tu-95 have simulated a launching of missiles several minutes ago. Awaiting.
  22. We had. But some part was used in 2014-2015. And huge number of Smerch ammo and some less for Uragan were lost because of explosions on several arsenals before a big war. So, despite we have more Smerchs on armament, than Uragans, but on videos you can see mostly Uragans. Ukriane developed more precise rockets for Smerch - "Vil'kha" (70 km range) and "Vil'kha-M" (130 km). Standard rocket for Smerch has 90 km of range. But in 2019-2020 only 98 "Vil'kha" rockets were bought by MoD. "Vil'kha-M" didn't pass tests because of accuracy and other problems. "Vil'kha" should have 10 m accuracy on 70 km, when Vil'kha-M - 30 m on 130 km. This is not HIMARS too. According to some rumors "Vil'kha" still produced, but in small numbers, so it usage is episodical. Also were a tales how battery of Smerch tried to hit Snake island, but all rockets missed.
  23. Total number of brigades can give only estimate number of armor by "shtat". But reallity is much worse. For example, less of half of new-formed 6x brigades got status "mechanized" (but only half of this half had tank battlions in own composition) and other were just "infantry" because of lack of armor. Only since December all 6x brigades got status "mechanized" (but I think this is mostly up front). Soviet legacy, actively used since 2014-2016 in endless marches, maneuvers, warfare, especially since 24th Feb will not gain more "health" because of this. As far as in ATO our soldiers had a joke "Our platoon has three BMP - the first can drive only, the second can shoot only, the third exists on the paper only"
