  1. The wargamer interview strongly indicates that Market Garden module is the first to come out. Just because it seems like a neat idea, I'd say Bagration is released on 22 June 2013. You heard it here first Shock Force 2 comes in between. that would be a very nice schedule I think
  2. The post I took offence was not comradely and not that helpful. And I got offended because I was called naive, lacking in critical thought and negligent in exploring the forum for my answers - and all I wanted was a ballpark release date  Calling somebody out in those circumstances is not not sad either, at least not in my book. I won't post anymore on this issue since I do not want to come accross as argumentative, but all in all, not cool... See, this is what happens when you vaguely announce stuff, and then keep silent about it . People get antsy.... BF, we want our release dates! Well, I do at least...can't speak for others:)
  3. Oh...so I guess it's something like where should have known
  4. The first post in this thread by BFC specifies that the three next modules to be expected, Eastern Front, MG and Shock Force, are listed in no particular order. If BFC has not specified which of these comes first, all of your fine speculation is just speculation. Nothing released so far conclusively points out that this is the case. One could argue that the same logic you apply to future releases should have led BFC to first release an upgrade for CMBF, and only start working on FI after that. Certainly nothing suggests that SF 2 will be the 3. or 4. product down the line. Why should we take for granted that Eastern Front takes precedence? Sadly, I am not one of the older folk on this forum. I have read the entire 'The road ahead' thread, and applied as much critical thought to the subject as it warrants (it's a bloody game, not brain surgery!), and have been unable to reach the conclusion that BFC never releases a serious quarter-estimate for its products. Maybe I lack your superior mental faculties, I don't know. Still, does that mean you get to push me around, call me names or condescend me? If you do not like my question, you are not obliged to answer it. Seriously people, is this what passes as welcome on this forum?
  5. Nowhere is it stated in what sequence the releases will be made. It makes more commercial sense that SF 2 will come before or sandwiched betweeen WW2 releases, to diversify the offering. So yes, a rough ball-park release date in terms of Q1/2/3/4 of whichever year shouldn't be reason for such surprise on your part, or cause for condescending attitude directed at me.
  6. It's almost December and still no update? this makes me a sad panda c'mon people, at least give an estimated release date...for shock force 2 at least....screenshots would be nice...a demo even better....full release would mean I build you a little altar for burning incense and such I had a crazy hope of being able to play new CM during Christmas...for some reason, probably because I first started playing CM BB during holiday season, nothing says Christmas to me like playing Combat Mission with Jingle Bells heard in the distance But seriously now, I've been wondering about one thing - what season will the Shock Force 2 (an imaginary 2014 war in Ukraine) in its first release include? Winter, summer, muddy autumn...? I have a longing for some eastern front winter action, with modern toys Imagine T-90 in winter cammo:)
  7. Well, how many times can one replay the battle of the bulge, or the assault on monte cassino? it just started to seem somehow pointless to me at some point... of course, YMMV... a hint regarding release schedule would be very welcome indeed....
  8. So as time slowly ticks away, maybe we're in line for a little update? How is 'The Road Ahead' coming along? Are there any news? An indication when the new releases will be ready? I guess something must be nearing release if the original deadline is still valid (3 releases till June 2013). Can we at least get a release order - which of the 3 will be out first - Bagration, Market Garden, or Shock Force 2? I'm hoping for Shock Force 2, I've had enough of WW2...
  9. OK; i have managed to unlicense the base game and all modules - I uninstalled it just to get rid of any residual problems I may encounter - reinstalled everything - then I instructed the AV to treat the exe files as exceptions to avoid future problems....everything should work now right? Wrong:( Apparently, when I try to execute the exe for the British module (to do the licensing thing) I get the following message: "The program can't start because msvcr71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Strangely, the base game and other modules work. So what the hell is going on here?! what on god's green earth is "msvcr71.dll " ?!?!
  10. OK, I think I managed to unlicense it! [i feel a little bit stupid now] It seems my anti virus was blocking the exe CM files that it perceived as a possible threat - so I simply temporarily disabled the anti virus and managed to unlicense the remaining 2 modules and main game. I will do a new installation now. Just one thing I want to chjeck before I proceed - how can I be sure that the unlicensing worked? Just to be on the safe side, I started the unlicensing process again - and the whole process was repeated, as if my previous unlicensing didn't work...so what's up with that? how can I verify that the unlicensing worked?
  11. My antivirus notified that me that three CM exe files have been infected with the virus (the main game and NATO and Marines modules). It automatically vaulted them, and then I restored the files from the virus vault to be able to unlicense the game first and then uninstall it. However, after this I can no longer either start the game or unlicense it. I only managed to unlicense the British forces module (which wasn't infected and wasn't vaulted by the AV program). Any time I try to start the game or try to unlicense it I get the following message: "Windows cannot access the specified file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the file". I have no idea what the problem is. I already tried running the files with administrator privileges - that didn't help. So my problem is the following: I cannot unlicense the main game and the Marines and NATO modules by myself. I already used up both of my licenses - one for my old computer (and like an idiot I forgot to unlicense it after I got a new one - by now this old computer is already partially disassembelled, I doubt I can get it to run again to do the unlicensing). And my second license is now blocked by this weird virus thing. What do I do? Is there any way the unlicensing can be done from Battlefront side? I would hate to lose the installation rights now:(
  12. OK, this may be a stupid question, but here goes.... I recently got a new computer and I installed the CMSF, obviously. I did the licensing procedure and everything worked, but then (too late) I kind of got confused. How come the old licensing key worked with the new computer, shouldn't I have gotten some kind of 'this license key is already in use' message or something? Come to think of it, I should have requested a new license, or deactivate my old one... Did I do something wrong? And how can I 'reset' my license so that my old computer is no longer occupying my license? OK, I'm not sure if I just made any sense to you guys, but I just want everything to be legit in the future... I actually never use direct2 drive installations, I prefer hard copy, this is the only just downloaded game I ever got so I am not sure how this all works P.S. long time fan, since the days of CMBB, my first post...keep the combat missions rolling guys:)
