  1. It IS possible to create a gridded base for wheat fields, BUT the animated wheat doodads hide it almost completely. It´s only visible if zoomed in. From far away, the mini bmp should be gridded, and would look weird.
  2. Available: http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/4489/details
  3. Don´t know why, but in that screenshot (and only in that one) the closest lod dissapeared in those trees. The gridded terrain has the same Foliage mod and the closest lod was there, so I suppose it was a momentary visual effect.
  4. Correct. I didn´t want to add grid to mini-ground bmps.
  5. I need Bill Hardenberger´s permission first,
  6. With so many brilliant artists here I first thought I wouldn´t dare to mod my own terrain and make it available. But after posting some screenshots of my maps, and people asking for it, I have decided to give it a go, refine it, retouch it and ask permissions to the authors I modified the bitmaps from. That is, sdp and Bill H. I haven´t contacted Bill yet as I can´t find his email address but here is a small pic showing what´s done. Ground bases, doodads, trees and other terrain modified so far. Sure it won´t be to everybody´s taste, but some of you may like it. It´s just a tiny contribution for those of you that want to keep it.
  7. Hello sdp. I am currently modifying the terrain BMPs and I would like to know if you would give me permission to use your paved road and cobblestone bmps (modified accordingly) to be included in a future Mod Pack. Thanks in advance.
  8. Is not available yet, since I need permissions from Bill H and sdp. I may send them a private message.
  9. I don´t know if it´s too visible in the screenshot, but all terrain has been changed to a more brownish-sepia color, included trees and doodads (not visible at this range).
  10. I think they have LODs or level of detail hardcoded in the mdr files. I am sure I modified the "closer ones" though.
  11. I "exploded" the "Normandy v.100B.brz" and found them in the foliage folder. I changed the color and eliminated that "too GREEN look" but there are a lot many mdr files I wouldn´t dare to mod myself.
  12. Very nice Juju. Stone bridges would look much better imho if you gave them the look of your rural or stone walls.(idea )
  13. Thank you sdp. I will use them in Normandy, Italy, and everywhere. You managed to give vehicles that extra-muddy look.
  14. Nope. I guess Allied would have a tough test, though. Didn´t even try...
  15. I am not an uniform grog, so i don´t know about realism, but, wow, sure they look great.
  16. You eventually did it. Congrats. A victory at Huberderie is to be proud of.
  17. I experienced what I think is a bug as I was testing my latest scenario. One building was attacked with HE an collapsed. Two minutes after that an american squad enters the rubble, and surprisingly,...starts climbing to the second floor. Was fun to watch them climb in the air and start shooting, "no more windows, hurrah!" they may have thought.
  18. Uploaded to the Repository. Soon ( I hope ) available. Regarding the sepia, desaturated terrain, I have three .brz files (trees and foliage),doodads, ground bases (including railroads and pavement), but I need permision from the authors I modified the bmps. Bill H. and sdp.
  19. Ummm, I would have liked to see the "Casualty" in red, or" Medic" in yellow, you get the idea...
  20. Is there any way to modify the colors of these messages? I mean the info messages that appear on the lower left side of the screen...(Spotting, medic, etc)are they hardcoded? Any help would be appreciated.
  21. I tinted the doodads (flowers, marsh, grass,...), all trees, roads and pavements, ground bases, some buildings and bridges...and finally I managed to eliminate that nuclear, cartoonish, oversaturated green.
  22. It´s hundreds of MBs, and still not fully tested. Give some more time. I´ll see what I can do.
