  8. I would like to mod the shared textures, that is, ammo boxes, and different gear but that would apply to all vehicles in the game, and unweathered AFV would look odd. BTW, M3A1 Halftrack it´s been uploaded.

  12. Ok, will remove them for version 1.2. It´s imposible to add certain foliage without avoiding that 2d , flat effect.

  15. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Next, the American Jeep. As simple as it may look, it represents quite a challenge for the modder due to the fact that some bitmaps are used both on horizontal and vertical zones, and thus, end up stretched and looking odd. I have tried to eliminate that effect but it´s impossible unless you leave those zones with a plain, unweathered olive drab color, breaking the global weathering effect. Check the bumper to see what I am speaking about (should I leave it unweathered to avoid that strectching in the BMP?).

  19. Thanks Erwin. Suggestions are always welcome, they sure help me improve my modding skills. The lighting effects in CMBN are somehow very different to previous CM titles. Depending of the time of the day they dramtically change the weathering effects. Adding shadows would make the vehicle look great on some hours and odd on others. As to weathering and dirt quantity, it´s always hard to find a balance. Some players love to see them as if they were drying after a bath in the mud, others like subtle effects. Bullet scrapes it´s something I will try in future mods. Spare track links or missing plate armors are something embedded in the code. You can add objects but they would look plain and unrealistic. (same applies to foliage). Maybe , skilled modders can give it a try.
