If you use textures which reflect potholed, repaired roads, the texture tiling repetition would be so obvious and awful...Since there is a single texture for straight roads CM artists (IMHO) decided to use a very flat, perfect surface which hides those repetitions.

My next mod wil take quite a lot of time to have it as I Like it. I started just today, with my typical chaotic way of working, getting layer after layer, no brain, just feeling it,...a mayhem, improvisiong on the go, learning on my own mistakes,... Turret is not modded ( I think this will be evident for even the less observer eyes) , wheels are not modded, well, even what is already modded will change...just like life itself
