  2. You know, i think the Repository should get a fresh make over, to make it a bit more accessible, because sometimes very good mods,maps and more are sitting in a corner somewhere in the Repository because its a big cluttered.
  3. The campaign has been uploaded in the Repository! I only made a small mistake here, the 2nd Rangers uniform mod is not from Aris but from Vein! And seeing i can't edit that post anymore, can a mod here please correct it for me? I also uploaded the scenario's of this campaign!
  4. The game only recognizes ONE file named background day (or night) combat.wav It searches for the background day combat.wav file to use it. If it won't find it, it will use the default file, as is with the night version.

The mg crew that is sitting completely wrong is something i see allot on my pc version, like when they retreated and set up in a crater, the MG is set up on the edge of the crater and the operator is in the center and can't be hit by my troops, you only saw his mg shooting at my troops like a radiocontroller MG.

When i view from a long distance to map, everything looks fine, than i press Printscreen, pause and go into photoshop and than the screenshot is showing the map in lower quality, like the one i showed, when you alt tab back in the game, you see the game is loading the high res textures again, its like the screenshots are taken a few seconds after you press print screen, because i also have it sometimes that like i take a screenshot, and it shows a screen from a minute ago and such.

  9. That was a fast release, uploaded it yesterday evening, hope you all like it! I set the volume of the files at the same volume as the original background, you can always turn the volume up in a program like Audacity!
  10. The foxholes are modeled wrong anyway, foxholes back than almost never had sandbags, only if they knew they were gonna stay there. A standard foxhole: Foxhole in Beirut, Lebanon 1958.
  11. I just finished the background sound pack! Will upload it to the Repository now so it can be used beside the campaign.

So, i'm creating a SPR campaign, it's a good source to a make campaign out of it, it has one realistic mission, and two fictionals, - Omaha Beach - Radar Station - Ramelle At the moment the maps are all pretty much done, now i'm only tinkering with the friendly and enemy forces to get a good fight going on... I will be also adding a new background sound, one for Omaha, for a Normandy Town ambience, and one for a battle ambience. Optional and recommended mods to use are: -Aris texture packs and add-ons (maps are made using these) -Aris 2nd Rangers (you can't have a SPR campaign without Rangers right!) -Oddballs soundmod (allot better immersive sound) -Wyseman76's 12th SS Hitlerjugend camo scheme (to make them resemble the SS as shown in the fictional Ramelle battle) It's fun to play these maps, especially Ramelle.   14. They look much more dirtier now, as a sandbag should be in a foxhole, i actually made a muddy trench the other day with the mud texture from Aris's texture pack. If people are interested (and Aris doesn't mind me using his texture) i will upload it.

I can't seem to make a good screenshot from a long distance when viewing a town and such, i press Print Screen, paste it in photoshop and the screenshots shows with the pauze menu and also the graphics are like you viewing from far away, in low res. :confused: And when i use Fraps, the screenshots become low quality and really dark.
  16. This aint Rail Simulator 2:rolleyes:. If more people complain about the wrong placement of a tree or building on his map it's never gonna be done.

This is something i am missing in the game at the moment, especially if you managed to flank your enemies and your squad is not completely in its position and one soldier already starts shooting at them giving away your perfect flanking position. Maybe something for the future games? It's very handy for ambushes, i know you can make this happen if you are the defending team and making a scenario, but that won't help you in battles you did not make yourself! You can also make them hide, but that won't guarantee they won't shoot.
  18. So i tried the flak 88's, when my breach team threw their satchel charges on it, nothing happens, they blasted it 3 times and than refused to do it anymore. So i will just change the flak's for a immobilized Marder III.
  19. Myeah, but if i throw a strike on their heads the crew mostly is dead when my guys get over there. I can try and position the guns so they can be flanked via a good high position, with low ammo. But can a dev maybe clear up why the Flak 88 can't be made destroyed or burning from the start?

So, i am making a campaign, my first one, it's a Saving Private Ryan campaign (thread will follow), i am adding a objective of taking out flak guns at Omaha beach, the 88's Miller and his men took out as mentioned by Captain Miller while debriefing his superior officer. Now i can't seem to put a 88 gun on the map immobilized, destroyed or burning, it pops up on the map normal with all the crew inside, when i dismount the crew and put them in a trench beside the gun and leave the Deploy Unit mode and come back in again, they are sitting in the gun again. So is it impossible to making this gun immobilized, destroyed or burning?? Is there maybe a way around it? I could just let them sit in it, but they would destroy any of my troops that come just near it.

We do need to remember that we can't recreate a battlefield a full 100%, it's still a game after all and some freedom has to be taken so it works better game wise, the same is done in movies that are created from novels, like Saving Private Ryan. There were was no Panzerdivision in the area at that time, but they put it in for a better looking battle.
  22. You should try you hand at making some dirty uniforms. Like muddy boots and such...
  23. Pretty much everything Aris has released. Gives so much more live to the game. I'm using: - Veins Skies - Veins Explosions & Smoke - Rambler's Weapon Skins - Aris Terrain Mod (as Texture Pack in 3 parts in the Repository) - Aris Terrain Addon Pack 1 & 2 - Aris Photoreal walls - Aris HD Grass - Almost every Aris vehicle skin And much more mods that do nothing to looks. (sound mods and such)
