In case you hadn't noticed, last time, it was Argentina who did the invading. Britain has some pretty far-flung interests which it is prudent to retain the capacity to defend at need. Defend. You know, like Ukrainians do. Not invade, like Russians.
We should (and are) give Ukraine what we can.  Most of the NLAWs that helped stop Russia's first attacks came from the UK. They got 800 Storm Shadows.. I don't think we have that many left on the RAF's establishment. We've promised them the entirety of the annual production of the cruise missiles. If we want to replace the ones we've given over already, we have to ramp up production (and I believe the statment implied that we were).

Excuse the language - but this is funny and perhaps surprisingly accurate

This I can definitely agree with. Just because Russian troll farms try and push certain talking points, or try to stir up and magnify disagreements in general, it doesn't automatically follow that they are creating problems that didn't exist before. Or even that they have much effect at all.
Britain joining the EU created (economic) winners and losers, and leaving the EU also creates winners and losers. Telling people who are genuinely better of personally for leaving the EU that they only think that because they've been fooled by Russian trolls is...odd. And for some people, the sovereignty issue *is* important and would still be a decisive factor even if they thought the country as a whole would be worse off. There have always been people who thought that, before the UK joined the EU, the whole time we were in, and during Brexit.
I don't agree with them in the slightest: I'm very pro UK being in the EU, and don't give a fig about nationalism and sovereignty vs the EU. But I can accept that others genuinely have different opinions for valid reasons that I just don't happen to share.
To dismiss the whole of Brexit as a result of Russian interference is to ignore that Britain really is very divided in attitudes to Europe and the EU in particular.
 

Here is video "T-shape. AAR", where tank commander tells why he was forced to crash Russians in the trench and some datails, which weren't seen on teh video (ENG subs can be turned on):  
 
In short - turned out Russians had 28 men in the trench instead 10 estimated. Tank wasted 21 shells of 22 onboard, when commander have seen, that Russians "don't running out". Tankers had an order completely supress enemy in order to do not allow direct engaging of UKR infantry with Russian entranched infantry, so he received an order from operation commander to crash the enemy by tracks. 
Also Russians set minefield on the road behind own position and had 3 Fagot ATGMs, two of which were hit for 30 minutes before operation, but one, which remained fired at BMP (missed), which harrased Russian trench.  
UKR infantry to dig out Russian mercenery since 20 hours as it was burried. Probably he had access to air and didn't suffocate, so when he came to his senses, he has moaned and was heared by UKR soldiers.

Would it be possible to limit the name calling, "rural dimwits" "right wing looney's" and focus on the war in Ukraine?

Wow, just read this. As a Brit who voted for Brexit, I think maybe Steve should stick to military matters as this is pretty insulting and frankly bat **** crazy. My reason for voting Brexit, for the record, is that I believe in democracy and the EU is profoundly undemocratic. We got rid of a king in the 1600s because he was overruling our parliament. The EU over the passed decades has imposed thousands of laws on the UK we had to accept by treaty obligation. It was always about democracy and sovereignty for me and many others, not stupidity, irrationality, or Russian manipulation.
