  1. Thanks for the response Fizou, so as I understand I can put any Mod into the Data/Z folder not matter what its called as long as I use the Z before its name, and the games system will pick it up and use it as long as no other Mod file contains the same file name?
  2. Sorry I know this may have been raised before, but I'm not quite sure where to install and Voice Mods. I have my "Z" directory set up with the "Data" directory and have all mods located in there. In this folder I have a sub folder called "Sound" which contains a list of various sound files, one of which is called "voices". Now I wish to install "DH British Voices" mod do I just download it and install it in the "Voices" folder or do I have to change its file name, not quite sure what to do?
  3. Once again Vencini, thanks for your response. I think I have found the problem as I followed your instuctions and loaded the files I required, I found the mod was not loading. I then found that Juju's UI mod was in my documents folder on my C\ drive, once I put the Marco's mods into this location, they loaded when I ran the game. I have the main game installed in my F:\ hard drive which has a sub folder z were all my downloaded Mods go. When I moved Juju's Mod to the z folder and reinstalled the selected Marco's mods I required, it wouldn't work, I understood that any files in the z folder would be loaded or is this not the case with this Juju's and Marco's mods?
  4. Thanks for the response Vencini I understand the main concept you describe, but get a bit confused when I unzip the weapons file. There are six sub folders named Avent, Old, Plain, Rg, Xc and Xw, what do you do with these, do you put them all in your"z" folder or just the one your going to use
  5. I know this will sound daft, but is there any detail breakdown how to install this Mod, I'm a little confused on how to do it, I've read and reread the attached PDF but must be a bit thick on how to install it
  6. Since the latest patch update (Battle for Normandy v2.11) I've noticed the text in Vin's animated text bares no relationship to the scenario I’m playing i.e. currently playing Campaign The Road to Nijmegen and the animated text is referring to Soviet troops. Removed Vin’s animated text file and reloaded the saved game and I still have the same thing, has anyone else noticed this?
  7. Hi MikeyD Its not really flamethrowers I'm on about its Burning Buildings, I understand your point on Flamethrowers
  8. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is a missing item in the game. I understand that it requires some work to be done in the coding, but would have thought that it was not too big an issue to include. We have vehicles receiving hits and not burning as well as the spectacular occasional ones exploding and burning fiercely, can this not be done with buildings in a limited controlled way ?
  9. Hi One of the things I think is missing from the game is Burning Buildings. In ever theatre of war, buildings do catch fire and cause smoke across the battlefield, so why is this missing in the game? We have burning tanks, lorry's etc. but no buildings. Sorry if this has been raised before, just wondering why Thanks Basa
  10. 11. Just want to clearly understand how to install Mods in the z folder. I love all of Aris Mods and always down load his files into my data\Z folder. Some which I can see, some which I am not sure I do see. What I am unsure of, is do I extract the file into the Z folder as folder named e.g Aris Halftrack Mod as a whole or do I just extract the contents within that file e.g m9a1-wheel, m9a1-track, m9a1-interior, m9a1-hull into the Z folder. I know it may be obvious to a lot of veteran users and modders of this game, but I am new to this seriers of games and just want to clearly understand the process
  12. Thanks to everyone who replied, Yes you were right it was that Mod that was causing the problem, I have now removed it and everything is now OK. Once again Thanks
  13. I have been playing CW Battles lately, when a loaded up any of the USA battles, I noticed that some of my troops in the squads do not have any helmets, never seen this before, does anyone what the problem is
  14. Thanks Erwin you were spot on with your advice downloaded the latest Animated Text file and that has resolved the problem, Thank you
  15. Thanks for your response Erwin I will have a look at that and where is the latest version avaiable
  16. Further to my previous post I have now noticed that this also occurs in all the moduals Can anyone help????????
  17. Since playing CW modual and also after downloading various Mods I have noticed some strange behaviour in the Unit Information Panel I am getting strange descriptions of the unit I select such as clicking on a Foward Observer Icon the Unit Information Panel will display "Hedgehog Obstacles Separate" as the unit description or when selecting a 17 Pounder Art Piece I get a Unit Information of "1FV 432 MK3 Armoured Personnel Carrier" These are only two examples, there are many more. Any ideas what has happened here??????
  18. Scenario loads, but fails to display the US forces on the beaches, the airbourne units appear, but no other US forces??? Am I doing something wrong is there a problem with the game loading?
  19. During the heat of a Battle, you some times need to find your Engineers to carry out a specific task, but as there is no Floating Icon to identify them amongst all the other Icons, does anyone one any ideas how this can be done or is there a Mod already been created that can do this?
  20. Love Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy and I am very grateful to all those who contribute mods and Battle Scenarios for the game. As a keen fan of this World War 2 era, I was wondering if it was possible for the Mod creators to use the Date period for their contributions, e.g. Assault at Huberderie, would appear as 18th July 44 Assault at Huberderie. This would be useful for all fans of the game to follow the different time periods during this campaign. What do you think?
  21. Thanks for the info, regards BASA
