  1. This would be a great feature and certainly open up options for outside utility developers.
  2. I should have a beta Play By Cloud Helper available this week. PM if interested (got yours already Ian)
  3. I'd like to see a feature that allows importing of map data from a text file or simple binary file. Then we the users could attempt to write our own map generators, at least for Human vs Human games.
  4. The main intent is to make multiplayer/co-op work better by sending intermediate .bts save games between allied players as well as email .ema files between sides. For one-on-one there will not be a huge advantage over most sync tools, but it should have some nice features that make it easier to setup and track games. It will allow multiple configurations to be managed at once, such as Demo and Retail version or patched vs. unpatched installs as well the different names you play under. Other features: one click setup of the filters needed to sync the correct files from your CM folders to Dropbox a simple GUI representing all the games you are playing and if you have a turn pending. a timer feature that will change the icon if you have exceeded a given amount of time 'holding onto' the turn. optionally store contact info for all the players in the game, and perhaps arbitrary info like a link to the forum topic for the battle or club forum. keep a log of files exchanged and short messages between players optionally keep a history folder updated with all exchanged files
  5. I am prototyping a little Java app like SyncToy but specifically for Combat Mission games. Should Supports two-player and Co-op (multiple players per side). Runs on PC and Mac. PM me if you are interested in giving it a try, I should have a beta available by next week.
  6. It's cool that each tree we see represents an actual tree that blocks line of fire as well as line of sight. It's not so cool that our gunners don't seem to realize the danger of hitting trunks near friendly infantry. I just wiped out half a squad of my own when my Priest failed repeatedly to fire through a treeline. Intended target was a few hundred meters away but instead it kept hitting the same tree only a few dozen meters away. 2nd Squad, taking a breather right there, was not pleased. I can see this being an occasional risk but it seems to happen far too often.
  7. Same issues and confusion here. A bit disappointing, but inevitable that the game's patches will outpace the manual.
  8. I'm prototyping a little app which should handle the dropbox shuffles for you, as well as handling co-op games with multiple players per side. It would run on PC and Mac. Would that be of any interest?
  9. Yes, use the fantastic "Alternate Vehicle and Weapon Silhouettes" mod http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=1084
  10. Hmm, that would also explain why good LOS is so hard to get on the in second tutorial campaign. 'But it sounded so easy in the manual!'
  11. Are there any plans to allow import of Order of Battle from a text file and/or After Action unit status to a text file? Both would be nice for keeping a local record of your own performance or in a competitive or campaign situation. Reading of maps or elevations from a text file or simple binary file would also be great, though likely more complicated to implement.
