Hmm interesting. Ya im not sure as I have a pretty new GPU with a 1060 6GB Superclock and the game runs like a scalded dog. Could be though. I just know the shadows have always looks very harsh and sawtoothed for me. Thanks for the reply!

Good morning all. I just wanted to circle back around on an old topic and see if there has been anything new found that might help with the extremely hard and funky shadows in CM2 titles. Love the new engine updates and Im not sure if its worse than it was before the upgrades but it really stands out again for some reason. Seeing a lot of really harsh, hard shadows that get that sawtooth effect pretty bad. Is there anything at all that anyone has found to soften up the shadows in these games? Its really unfortunate for games that I think at least really great the shadow issues really take away from that. Seems like there should be some way to at least soften them up to its not so stark. Aside from turning them off of course. Thanks for any help you all can offer. I am running an NVidia 1060 6GB Superclock btw.

Hey all Merry Christmas! A friend of mine is thinking about jumping into the CM world and confused as to what he would need to buy now with all the engine upgrades. From what I can tell from the store page any new Normandy purchases will come already upgraded to 4.0 and I would assume Italy will as well once its available but what about RT and FB? Are new purchases for them already 4.0 or do they still need to be upgraded through purchasing an upgrade? thanks just want to make sure I steer him in the right direction.

Just bought them trying to figure out if I was supposed to get keys for these two upgrades. Thanks

I think it runs better then any of the other CMs and I have them all. Seems smoother to me.

Ian no please dont get me wrong I love what you did and I think it really cool having the icons of the time period for the country. Im just too simple minded to learn new symbols Entirely my problem not a problem with your icons. Very cool for sure. I dont really play axis, ever so all I see is the US icons from your pack for Combat Mission Normandy and was wishing for a set of those but for the allies(Russia) in RT. I know certainly not historical for the time.

I love them. I wish there was a version for Red Thunder that uses the same symbols as this version but the version for RT uses some kind of Russian symbols I am not familiar with

Ya it does to me as well. They load faster too but that could be the lack of 1000 mods.

I got it really fast but I think I happened to refresh at the right time so I caught it when it first popped up.

This demo will keep me busy this weekend. Love the map for the December Morning scenario! Awesome! Great job guys. Now if I can keep myself focused on my work the rest of the day

Just posting this for info purposes. Installed the CatTactical Nato Icons from CMBN in the new demo and they seem to work.
