  1. Thanks for the heads up , I will check out the "sales" web site , just as soon as I rap up this battle I have been working on , or after finishing the map I set up yesterday...Or just as soon ...... great game N
  2. A little scuttlebutt please Hi battlefront , thanks for the game I have been wishing for. Now that I have figured out the AI (some what anyway) I have been having lots of fun with the Editor and the game in general. So now that the game has been out for a bit , could you let us know how well it is being received from the gaming community at large ?? And do you need any help with the CM-BN web page, I noticed there have not been updates for 3 or 4 weeks now , not the best way to promote a new product . Come on guys I want this to be in the top ten for 2011...It's good enough , but people need to find out about it.......... N
  3. I ordered the Steele box set the day the web site indicated they were getting low ,but I got the plastic box instead. The game works fine and I have used the great big manual that came with it. But the point is I believe I paid 5.00 dollars to much. If that is the case , can I get a credit on the next installment of the game . Did this happen to any one else ? N
  4. Hi One and all I guess I qualify as one of the old timers , I bought CMBO , CMBB and CMAK as soon as I could (money was a bit tight at that time of my life) . I was playing CMBO on my little net book just a few months ago , even with it's wimpy specs it works fine... The way I found out about Battlefront games was through PC Gamer Mag. The CMBO demo was on one of the demo disc's that they would come with , (pre hi speed internet days for me) and If I remember right the game got a great revue. Played the hell out of that Demo , the scenario (chance meeting at a crossroads) was my all time fav ... the last 4 or 5 years I'd check the forum from time to time , and some time along the line , my password stopped working so I would just read and didn't participate. I did down load some of the game demos with the new game engine but because of old equipment and lack of interest , couldn't justify the funds ... So to today I have the CM-BN running fine on the new system ( I had up graded before I got StarCraft 2 , a few months back ) and thanks to the big time professional Manuel that came with the preorder , I have been playing some of the scenarios I put together , so I have been late for work a few times over the last few weeks , I look at the clock an see I have 30 minutes till needing to go , so I think I can get a few licks in , the next thing I know I am late , some times way late . Ho well , I am the boss so I guess It doesn't matter all that much , but I suppose if this continues I should dock my pay or somfink.............. N
  5. Yes the Game came in the post today , (gaming goodness) , mine was a plastic box... but it sure looks good. Here I am in northern CA USA (Eureka) and having way to much fun , because of the down load it's been on the puter for a week, Now with manual in hand I hope to figure this thing out. The AI stuff it a bit mystifying. Hopefully some one smarter then me can redo the original CMBO demo battle of the meeting at the cross roads....... the one that started it all. I played it for months till the game came out......... 5 30 11 N
  6. The way I look at it , this game is the same , but not. CMBO was fun for me because “WEGO” and it's attention to detail . And not the same , because of all the new video bells and whistles . Because of the new game engine ,we have absolute incredible detail and all the units are represented plus some changes that had to be made because , coding a game is the peak of compromise . But I think the game still has that magic that hooked me 10 years ago . Let me state for the record there will be a patch or two ,and remember folks perfect games do not exist , but this one comes close.......... N
  7. Ps... I am from northern CA USA , also my original member # was 832 , 10 years ago... is anyone going to redo the one that started it all , CMBO demo chance meeting scenario..... Hope Hope Hope ! N
  8. I ordered mine on the 14 th I really wanted it this weekend but no luck , I hope for Tuesday.... I have been playing the download copy , and who ever did the coding deserves a freaking medal , this game is GOOD. I hope I can understand the editor well enough to set up a few small battles , to me those are the most fun but ...we will see.......... N
  9. Hi One and all Has any one recieved there Steel Book "TM" set yet .? If so could you tell us whats in it ,any extra goodies?..... Thanks 88mn
  10. Hi One and all To me this is a dream come true , The Combat Mission games ( the original 3 ) were on my hard drive for years , much longer then any other games I have bought. The only one that came close was Warcraft 2 , I played the hell out of that one also. Every 6 months or so I would load up CMAK and have some fun with it over the last 5 years , ( it was my favorite ) and when I would play I always thought how great it would be to have a new state of the art version . Well after playing the Demo I think I can say The BEST war game around will be on my hard drive soon ( yes I ordered CMBN today ) good thing I upgraded my grafix card for Starcraft II a few months ago , So I am ready to roll..............
